The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Enable life, not disable life

No 32 of Living Life Series 1

Enable life, not disable life. Empower oneself, not surrender to fate.

Get up and stand tall even if you still may fall.

Look not back in disdain but forward in hope and joy that calm and peace will be after a storm.

Steel ourselves for better times by honing our productivity for the present. Look not on past pain and gain. This the way to value add to life.

The past pain should not disable and maim us. Any past gain is as good as it is there. Just a memory good to have if no more there.

Do not dissipate life. Futile to do so. Our time, life and reserves are finite. Drain them away on pain of past and none we have for gain of today and tomorrow. Life will be so lame then.

No time to lose. Our limited time, resources and emotions are better utilised for the here and now.

Our past fate has happened.

The present is for harvest, otherwise will go to waste.

The future depends on how we invest our time, feelings and resources.

Alas, all these be it time, feelings or resources are limited and should not be wasted on the past pain and gain.

We should not day dream away life and be left on the shelve to gather dirt and dust or even to rust away and lose the shine of life.

Enable life and be alive to life. Do not be flamed or entombed by the pain and blame of past be it real pains or glory long past.

Enable not disable life. Make heaven, not hell out of life.

Truth is about life.  Life is the gospel so sacred and is the gift of God and Heaven above. The image of Lord Bo Tien is not meant to show us his appearance and status but it reflects to us various perspectives of the gospel of life.

One perspective is to depict the need to steer the present as depicted by left hand in salutation. We can do so only by balancing the past and the future as depicted by feet on elements. We neither dwell in the past pain or gain nor day dreaming of or be in frantic anxiety over the future. His right hand with sceptre reminds us to hold on to faith in divinity. This way we can be at peace and heaven on earth here and now and for most of the time. We can do so by enabling life in the present.

Enable life, not disable life.
