The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The way of the heavenly saints

No 43 of Living Life Series 1

Every one of us is like a spiritual candle flame to light up the way for others, and for the heavenly saints to shelter the flame so that it will continue to glow ever brighter.

We should also look and tend to one another’s candle flame. A collection of candle flames lights up the way for others.

In worldly life, too often we tend look at the dark side of the person rather than on the lighted side of him. This is because of the dark ego in us which makes us see the darkness or devil in everyone.

In spiritual life, we cultivate the non-ego and tries to look at the bright side of the person. We look at the spiritual light in him, and see as well as nurture the saint in him.

Like the heavenly saints, we must help to tend for the candle light of our brethren, and in so doing enhance our own. By looking at the saint in him, we bring out the saint in ourselves. By tending to the light in him, we bring out and enhance our own inner light

If we look at the devil in him, we bring out the bigger devil in us. If we see only the darkness in him, we engulf ourselves in our own darkness. We take him to task for his dark ego but forgot that we too have the same dark ego, which is the very reason why we see and fault him for this and that.

Delusion free and humble in life we are both lighter and brighter in the way we do things and in the way we perceive our fellow men. We must caste away our ego, which weighs us down in our life, so that we will see the brighter and lighted side of life, namely the spiritual or divine side.

The Mission of heavenly saints like Lord Bo Tien is the work and will of Heaven (Almighty God), and not the work and will of men, definitely not the product of ego states. Men must be lighted and brightened up by the non-ego in them before they can be part of the Mission, which is a mission of Light of the Holy Spirit of God.

Disciples of any heavenly saint who dwell in the darkness of their fellowmen are doing injustice to the mission by bringing and fanning the dark egos firstly of themselves and secondly of the men at whom they point fingers and find fault with. Easily seen are the dust on others eyes but not that in our own.

See not the devil in our fellow man but the good and lighted side of him. Let there be goodwill and we will then break free from the shackles of the devil or ego in us.

The Mission can only go on if there is goodwill amongst men, and when we do not get engulfed by the darkness of our delusion and passion filled egos. This is more evident when we relate with the leader amongst us for he or whoever takes over his place in future will be on the pedestal for us to bring him down when we see only the devil in him because of the devil of the arrogant ego in us. We must see the saint in him to bring out the best in him, and in process, we bring out the best in us. To bring out the saint in him, we must first bring out the saint in us. This is the way of God and of all saints. This is the way of harnessing the Holy Spirit “the Leng”
