The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Go for the water bed of fulfilment

No 69 of Living Life Series 1

There was a drought and the rivers were parched with mud bed cracked like mosaic.Water was in urgent need. Rather than just depending on rain, villagers needed to work the ground with changkols or spades to dig the ground in search of water. They knew that there would be water. They kept digging the ground for days and they were tired. Some with weak faith wanted to give up. Others with faith toiled on and eventually noticed streaks of water streaking out from the ground. But many were weak by then, but if they gave up at that stage it would be a pity. There were those who could not see eye to eye due to stress and strain.  But if they persevere and carry on as a group with one mind and heart, the water would rise and their thirst would be quenched. There would even be enough water for others as well.

Members of an established temple were like the villagers. They toiled to dig in to build the temple and mission. They wanted to see results. There were periodic blessings, which were godsend, but for lasting and bountiful waters of blessings, they needed to carry on digging and toiling. They sweated and some wanted to give up just when the building was up but problems were aplenty. Relationships strain set in and people and funds might not be obvious then. But if they gave up at that stage, it would be a pity for if they persisted and persevered, the full results would be realised with big problems becoming small problems. Small problems would be problems no more. Even others would come to benefit from the waters of blessings that would arise and be plentiful.

The same can be said with the individual's life and attempt to reach spiritual fulfilment. Whilst there are periodic godsend blessings, eventually the individual needs to have faith and toil on. Even if he breaks the initial spiritual barrier, he needs to carry on though he is tired and harassed in order to reach full fulfilment. He should not stop but persevere to reach full spiritual bliss.

Go all the way and quench the thirst for fulfilment, be this water, temple mission or our own spiritual life. Thus said the lord. In God through Lord Bo Tien we do pray for us to go all the way. Help us lord to help ourselves. We cannot depend on the periodic rain of godsend blessings but need to reach the water bed of truth to quench our thirst for spiritual fulfilment.

Go for the water bed of fulfilment.
