No 117 of Living Life Series 1
With all these to consider, what should be made known to us is the tou-li. There is no need to know who is the Saint, from where He came, what were His past lives
Who is Lord Bo Tien?
He is representative from Heaven and He has the decree from Heaven to save mankind.
The Chinese traditional temple way is the weakest or least organised amongst adherents in the late 1960s. Therefore, He set out to start a role model for all such temples. By doing so, all would be able to see the same inner truth of tou-li even in Chinese temples, the very same truth common to all religions
Different religions and sects of same religion may have different approaches and ways but the motive is based on salvation of souls. Language differences of words do not help, and this may lead many to feel religions are poles apart when they in fact deal with the same tou-li, ‘the way of life’ to save the souls
Examples of words and phrases, which would be difficult to convey in another language, are as follows
Chinese Hokkien as “people pull the cart, cow ride on horse” means actions and reactions will take place accordingly.
“You drive the car, car broke down half-way, someone came along and help you to repair the car, you proceed and come to a cross-road and He shows you the way” means Lord Bo Tien has given us His teaching. Henceforth, it is up to us now. We shall be our own driver and drive our own life.
“Ren men peng mao” means there are many kinds of people, we have to try and understand and lead them to the right path. No two are alike, and solution to life’s issues must be adapted to individual
“Sang hi re ku,” means nothing is truly lasting and satisfactory and it’s through such realisation that we see the truth – the tou-li.
