The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Go for the sky in steps

No 118 of Living Life Series 1

Go for the sky in steps. Saints can help. But do make the first steps. This is the truth in life.

Go for life in steps. Go for one level at a time. The difference between one heaven and the next higher heaven is sky wide. Human world for example is one heaven above animal world. Go for the sky in your world. That will be heavenly for now.

In time you can move on and be in heaven above heaven. There is no stop to how far you can go. But you must take the first few steps. What matters is that first steps.

The rest will remain as fantasy if the initial steps are not made. Make the first steps and the rest will have chance to happen. You will be on your way.

Do not dream and depend on luck and fantasy. Luck itself is luck's own star. What can mere stars achieve? Thus said one western philosopher.

Take first steps to learn to walk. No amount of wishful thinking by parents will enable the infant to walk.

Likewise, the saints may wish us well but we must walk the first few steps ourselves before that can have chance to happen and be reality.

The saints can help to pick us up if we stumble along the way. But the first steps must be made by us. No doubt we will not stumble if first steps not made and the saints will not even have the opportunity to help us. We will not be able to move on if we do not make the first steps.

God and saints help those who help themselves. Truth often is as simple as that. But when we are swept by worldliness, we are not perceptive to see things as they are. We may think it is too profound and beyond us.

Few are clear minded, settled, crystal clear and at peace mentally to realise the simplicity of truth. Some regard this clear-mindedness as the mind eye - the third eye. But this will only put many off as third eye concept appears too mystical and beyond reach of the many.

Writer's opinion is not to depict truth as profound for this would not be correct and truthful. There is need to emphasize on its simplicity and that it is within the reach of the many.

It is because of dusts in one's 'eyes' that one's vision is affected and one does not see things as they are and as they should be.

Only the wise seek the fulfillment of ancient wisdom. Yet the profound truth is so simple but difficult to perceive. Thus have we been reminded by the lord saints through Senior Bro. Philip.

Go for the sky in steps - level by level. God and saints as well as world religions can help. But the first steps must be undertaken by ourselves. This truth is simple but somehow too profound to many and often not perceived.

Lord Bo Tien in his compassion has reminded us time and again of the common presence of inner truth in all religions and sects, in all creed and kind and in all levels and dimensions of existence of the universe and beyond.
