The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

One for all and all for one

No 410 of Living Life Series 1

It would be wonderful if men of religions do not go by labels. Why call yourself for instance a Buddhist when you are prepared to go to any place of worship? Why let man created barriers prevent you from knowing God and saints better by going to temples and places of worship of another sect or religion.

Certainly, founders of religions were never narrow minded and bigoted. Even Jesus introduced principles very different from Old Testament.  That is one reason why there is the New Testament. For instance, the notion of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth was replaced by offering the other cheek when slapped on one cheek. There is no contradiction but merely a more refreshing way or approach.

In a multiracial and multi-religious society, people are already cross attending one another's  places of worship and celebrating one another's festivals. Thus the natural progression would be that though labelled Buddhist, one could attend a Hindu temple, partake in discussion and festivals of a Hindu temple and yet remain a Buddhist.

In time to come, there will be no need for labels. Labels are man made. Buddha for example never said that his followers are Buddhists. This applies to the followers of other religious leaders or saints. Labels and group egoes are characteristic of men and not of God and saints

Lord Bo Tien makes use of the Chinese culture to set up a temple and tell the world that though there may be many religions and sects, all refer to one God or Divinity.

He says that we must respect all heavenly saints and what they teach. Their teachings are sanctioned by God. (The Precepts)

But of course, men being men and imperfect will introduce dogmas and their own interpretation and understanding into religions and sects. This, like it or not, in turn will somehow divide men and cause conflicts. This is the making of men, not of God and saints.

Let us belong to all religions and not to one. But it is also not wrong to belong to just one so long as we keep an open mind that God can still speak to us in all other religions. This may be put succinctly as  one for all and all for one.

Saints were ascribed by men as belonging to this or that religion. But they are saints of God or Divinity. They belong not to religion but to God and Heaven. They are for all men and not just those that are in religions bearing their names.

Buddha is not just for Buddhists but for non- Buddhists as well. Jesus too is no different. His heart goes out to all men.

Lord Bo Tien

Lord Bo Tien may appear to be of a Chinese temple and be referred to as a Taoist or Buddhist saint. But in reality, he is not related to either and not known to their respective history. There is and always be no mention of his name in history of men.  He has never been known to be a historical figure, not even in Chinese history. There is definitely no mention of him in age old Chinese culture or mythology. That is perhaps why a temple of the lord saint does not look like a Buddhist or Taoist temple.

Bo Tien Temple Singapore

The same appears to be the case for Ji Gong or Lord Ji. But he was a historical figure who lived in China Hangchow more than one thousand years ago (from 2013). He belongs not even to the Chan Buddhist monastery as he was expelled from there for eating meat and drinking wine. He was not following the vinaya rules of monks.

Ji Gong

But he had and has a good heart and believes till today that what matters is what goes through the heart and not what goes through the gut.  He is an accomplished saint, a messiah and savior of the many for all, regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none

He became a saint and helps all men regardless of their religious or cultural background. He too is one saint for all men and religions,  and all men and religions can depend on him. He belongs to all and yet to none.

A man can learn from all religions and be for all religions. All religions can benefit him in complementary and synergistic ways. One can reach God through all religions. All religions can reach out to a single man.

One saint can be for all men and religions. All religions can accept that one saint.

Saints of God are for all,
not just followers of religions
bearing the names of the saints

One for all and all for one.  A man must respect God and all saints.  God and all saints of all religions will be for that man. No religion or sect should prevent a man from knowing more of God by knowing and learning from other religions and sects. This is the will of God

What is Taoism?

No 409 of Living Life Series 1

Jade Emperor

Stuart Shaw has given a good insight and reconciled the myriad divisions of Taoism from Taoist philosophy to practices, from deity worship to mere Tao way of life. Please go to site by Stuart Shaw for the full write-up but salient extracts of it reproduced below

Extracts from writing by Stuart Shaw

"As a preamble, the very first issue that needs to be addressed is the question: 'Which Taoism?'

The reason why I say this is because Taoism is pluralistic in nature, meaning that within the tradition there are various sects and traditional divisions that will have a varied range of beliefs, and thus each will answer these questions with varying degrees of difference.

For example, Taoism ranges from Polytheism, with its belief in a pantheon of deities, through to Monotheism, believing in single unified essence of life, all the way through the spectrum to physicalist Pantheism, with the view that material nature, and its physical laws, is the 'ultimate being'.

You also need to be mindful that contemporary Taoism can be quite different from the Taoism of even just a few centuries ago. To complicate the issue further, there can be stark differences between Taoism beliefs in the Western world and Taoism beliefs within China itself.

However there are some common threads in amongst this mosaic of Taoist ontology.

Taoism believes that there is a more subtle, mysterious sphere of life; that there is a spectrum extending beyond the physical level extending into the more esoteric or sublime levels of universal nature.

One Taoist model that demonstrates this is the individual microcosmic trinity of Ching (精 jīng), Chi (氣 qì ), and Shen (神 shén), which corresponds to the macrocosmic model of Earth, Humanity, Heaven. Within this model Ching is our physical bodies and vital fluids, Chi is our vital energy, and Shen is our heart/mind or soul/spirit. There is the belief that Shen comes from (or is aligned with) the subtle realms of the universe (i.e. Heaven) and joins with our Ching and Chi to form our individual being and life.

The important implication here is that we all have a small 'piece of heaven' within us. This is a vital understanding within Taoist ontology - that, to know or communicate with Heaven, we need only to look within in the "right manner".

OK so let's briefly revise ... Yes Taoism believes in heaven in the form of the vastness of naturally occurring celestial bodies (i.e. sun, moon, stars etc.), but also heaven in the form of a subtle, mysterious energy that extends beyond and interpenetrates the mundane physical reality and also exists as an integral part of the human being.

....we must talk about the a fourth 'element' or 'sphere' within Taoist ontology, and that is Tao (道 dào). Calling Tao a 'fourth sphere' is a bit misleading because Tao encapsulates and interpenetrates the other three and in fact, as you are about to read, is the 'cause of being' of all other universal manifestations.

In Chapter 25 of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu profoundly says:

Man follows Earth,
Earth follows Heaven,
Heaven follows Tao,
And Tao follows its own nature.

Therefore we might be led to assume that Tao is the equivalent of God, and certainly the more orthodox Taoists have aligned this belief. However Tao is not "a God" in the contemporary use or imagining of the term.

Tao quite literally translates as "Way", as such it is more of a verb than a noun; it is more of a "doing" rather than a "being". Tao is neither a "thing" nor an "it", but rather it is the way or process through which life evolves. The Taoist observation is that the never-ending and mutually dependent evolution of life (i.e. the trinity of dì , rén, tiān) occurs in a rhythmic fashion; that there seems to be some sort of cyclic universal constant in the apparent randomly chaotic changes of life. That "universal constant" is Tao.

Long before Taoism was formalized in any way, the ancestors of Taoism symbolically represented this "universal constant" in the commonly known Yin and Yang symbol (known traditionally as the Tai Chi Tu - 太極圖 tài jí tú ). The mutually dependent binary relationship between the black portion (yin) and the white portion (yang) demonstrates the Tao/Way in which life evolves. The art of "being one with Tao" then is about harmonizing with the dynamic changes of Yin and Yang within whatever situation in which you find yourself.

However, to give acknowledgement and respect to the more Polytheist/religious expressions of Taoism, there is within these branches the reification of personified Gods. Some sects venerate Lao Tzu himself as the principle god; others worship The Jade Emperor (玉皇 yùhuáng). Others give benediction to a pantheon of "immortals" (仙 xiān) that were once mortals but have become enlightened and "ascended to Heaven" (e.g. the Eight Immortals etc.). "

Discussion by inner truth netizen 2.

In simplicity, there is the apparent and the real.

God is a person but yet not. God is conceptualized in physical form by those who practise deity worship. The deities too are conceptualized in forms. But at the higher level, they are real but exist as energy that pervades everywhere.

That is why there is the God and saint in us and everywhere. That is why they the saints can respond to call for help at the same moment to many and not just one man or being.

So the pure divine energy of the various deities or saints do co-exist and pervade the same space and are in all nature and dimensions. They pervade the bodies of all men. They are in men and all around men. It is just like the magnetic field but more than that.

But the energies must synergies and balance out in the lives of men. Man must grow and nurture the energy of saints and God in them and this calls for equilibrium of what sages refer to as yin and yang,  the soft and hard aspects of life and nature.

It is not wrong to say there is only one God for all saints and God exist as one in universe and yet they are separate. Thus it is not wrong to say there are many saints or gods. It is also not wrong to say that there is no God or saints - only divine energy. This the West refer to as the Holy Spirit and Chinese refer to as the 'leng' or divine energy or presence of Heaven.

As the divine energy is everywhere, we can say that Heaven is everywhere and in us and outside us. Person experiences heaven when he is at peace with life, at peace with yin and yang, or rather at peace with the chi or divine energy. One must  be in harmony with yin and yang, the soft and hard aspects of life and nature. Then he has divine peace and is in heaven. Heaven is in him and around him. He is enlightened and has the divine light in him.

At this juncture, readers will now understand why a saint like Lord Bo Tien says He is like the great ocean that reaches out to many lands and shores. He is omnipresent. His divine energy and presence pervades to all corners of the world.

Lord Bo Tien

Followers and devotees of the lord saint too were given the key to unlock and tap on to the divine energy of God and saints through invitation of the art of divine power. They sit cross legged and and clasp their hands in prayer to invite the energy and the energy of one of the saints will course through their upper limbs to move it.

A similar version connoted as divine martial arts invoked by praying to four corners and inviting the divine energy of saints. The energy of one of the saints will descend and course through the limbs and person will perform moves of martial art.

These two gifts are peculiar and special in a few temples in the world. Bo Tien temples at Singapore and Sitiawan are two of the few. The spiritual usefulness depends on the individual and beyond the purview and discussion of this post.

Bo Tien Temple Singapore
does not look like a Taoistic temple
but it has the five flags of such a temple

The usefulness depends on harmonizing the yin and yang of the divine energy with those of the individual. But unfortunately, even at Singapore, the two gifts are regarded as not part of mainstream spiritual practice and even considered lowly practice, unappealing and old fashion, bordering on superstition and spirit practice vis-a-vis trancing.

But no one will say that talking in tongues of some modern day charismatic movement at temples and churches is backward. In fact, talking in tongues is yet another example of harnessing the divine energy of God and saints.

Jesus is for all men

No 408 of Living Life Series 1

Who ever says there is no enlightenment in Christianity will be mistaken.  "Why? " you may ask.

Just look at the man Jesus. He is no ordinary man but the God in man. He is ever so peaceful. He moved around the meek and downtrodden. He offered hope to them and brought them peace that even those with more could not have.

Jesus did not commit any crime

Even at the cross, he was peaceful and thoughtful of the criminals on the crosses beside him. Even though mocked as a criminal and condemned to the cross, he had no ill will towards his detractors, prosecutors and their henchmen. He had only love and forgiveness for them who wanted him tortured, tormented and dead.

Surely such a person was and is no ordinary man, not just man but beyond what a man could be. He was then above many many men but yet he was man. He was divine  and yet still man. He was of flesh and blood. Blood oozed out of the nail holes from his palms.

Who would not be won over by him except those who have no heart or who are not true at heart.

After crucifixion, he was lowered down and left in a tomb as dead and lifeless  But he rose on the third day, ascended and went up the mountain. He still bore the marks of the nails that pierced his palms. There was no mistake about that.

His followers vouched that he rose from the dead but be this true or not, one fact remains true to this day. There is no doubt he was seen on the third day and there were wounds with blood in his palms. That he could walk tall and exuded serenity soon after being nailed and left for dead was a wonder of the times and remained as awesome as ever even today. This amazes and injects wonder and lights up the spirit and souls of men to this day.

He was made to die but did not. He not only lived on but liven up the lives of men then and even till today. He is as wondrous and awesome beyond what men could be. Surely he is divine and more than man. His divinity is as good as the highest in the heavens. He is God or beside God, like the saints and prophets of God in the various religions and sects of the day.

Jesus in meditation
http://www.near-death.com/experiences/origen045.html
Some think he is Buddha reincarnated

To Buddhists and Taoists, he is the accomplished one - a posat or Buddha  To Christians, he is more than that. He is God. What matters is that he has heart to win over men and bring them to God. He is Man. He is God. He is the embodiment of the spirit or goodness of Heaven. This his followers refer to as the Holy Spirit.

He has a place for everyone in his heart. He wants you to let him be in your heart. That is the greatness and love that are as vast as the ocean that reaches out to many men and many shores, that reaches not only to Christians but also to those who are not.

God, Christ and saints

What matters is not the branding but that men are won over by him - the one and only Jesus Christ. Let not men divide men as Christians and non Christians but as one in God, Christ and saints regardless of religion, sect or affiliation.

Lord Bo Tien

This post is consistent with the inner truth doctrine of Lord Bo Tien that we can reach God in any religion and that we respect all saints. God provides for not one religion or saint but many. It is the zest and passion of adherents of religion or sect that tries to make their sect or religion exclusive.

One can learn more of God through other saints or religions and this will in turn make them better off in whatever religion they may be in. The love of Jesus is magnificent and awesome and adherents of any religion or sect will agree. Even when subjected to the throes of pain on the cross and verbal torment, his love for men was unwavering.

Universal love for life is central to being God-centric and the love demonstrated by Jesus will definitely augment the spiritual grasp and development of any man regardless of their religious affiliation.

His love was awesome, unsurpassed and unparalleled in the history of man and even when cowed by the mighty Roman lords, he stood his ground. He would  rather face torture and torment on the cross than to sell away his values and principles.

All these for the love of men, so that they would know what true love is and so that they would taste the love of God. He is after all son of God, not just son of man.

The king of the land might be able to crucify his body but no way could his love of men be crucified or stifled. The embodiment of love of God in Christ Jesus the lord is beyond crucifixion.

The gift of God in Jesus is for all men and not the purview of designated men - the pharisees or elitists among men. Thank God, this is not the case.

Simplicity counts - Better nobody than somebody

No 406 of Living Life Series 1

Lord Bo Tien

If Lord Bo Tien is that chosen one to be a messenger of God for the oneness of religions, that all religions take reference to the same God, then the mandate must be supported by able and capable men who are wealthy, academic and highly spiritual. But this was not the case and many who do not know him would think that the so called mission may well be a sham. He would rather work with 'nobodies' than 'somebodies'

He gave certain pointers  which may explain why he had to execute the mission with a loose bunch who are generally not impressive and may even be a turn-off save for a handful few. Even this handful few who are good are also not good in many areas to  the point that they can disappoint others.

One pointer he gave is that the mission is not the mission of man but the Mission of Heaven. It is by Heaven and not by men. So perhaps to prove the point, he would rather have unimpressive men to work with at human level. Then he could show that even with such handicap, the mission will go on and spread.

Another pointer he referred to is that the flower should not be blamed for insects coming to it for nectar. The insects will come for nectar and not for the beauty of the flower. Those who know more and are more motivated by the mission will be edged out and put off by those who come to get nectar for personal and worldly gain.

The opportunists will take on mantle of leadership but will hijack the divine mission for their own personal mission or agenda. For example, he commented that setting up old folks home is good but there will be those who do so for personal agenda to further their own interests not in spiritual realm but in the social and quasi-political realm. They will push forward this and relegate spiritual to oblivion or at best pay lip service to spiritual.

The third pointer is that if we have highly good and spiritual men, the wider public may think that the lord saint is the concoction of the intellect of these men. For example, if the medium or divine intermediary though whom he gave many a sermons is of great potential and flawless in all ways, then the public will not see the saint as saint and the man as man. There will be no stark contrast to show that saint is saint and man is man.

Clever men too can act very spiritual and be very impressive at the pulpit but they may just wear the spiritual mask to hide their main intentions - the darker side. They may misuse a church or temple and push God to the fore so as to further their personal ends. They may corrupt the spirituality of a church or temple and mislead congregation to give more to the church or temple in the name of God. The main benefactor will not be the people at large, not God or the church or temple but these men who may be socially acclaimed leaders, pastors or monks.

Bo Tien Mission may well be spared off such personalities disguised as angels but it is generally still not spared off those who come for nectar of personal gain. The flower cannot be blamed for insects coming to it for nectar. This did Lord Bo Tien say.

There is perhaps no better way to show that there is God and the Mission of God by having ground mission with a group of common men with common problems and weaknesses.  Better to work with those who are more nobodies than somebodies.

This would actually show the need to have mission and the mission after all must seek out such men  --- the more of nobodies than somebodies. God and saints need to seek out such men and they need to be saved more than others who are better. So why not the mission start with, work with and end with such men "who are never somebodies but more of nobodies."

Ji Gong

Even Ji Gong the living Buddha chose to act like a nobody. He was like a beggar, talked like a joker and drank wine. He was like one of those whom others would not think is of any spiritual value and did not act like one with religious finesse. But he is well cultivated at heart and a saint.

Even in trance, he would speak and act through the trancer as though he is no saint, sitting on floor, dancing and prancing around, talking frankly and be very abrupt. But his saintly nature comes through in the miracles and help he doles out.

Often, the solution he metes out in the lives of men are that simple on hindsight. Ask those who have benefited and they will have many stories to tell.

The best miracle is that he makes better men out of men. He awakens these men and bring on awareness of how to have peace be it mundane or spiritual. He was able to do so without making these men study scriptures but by making them understand life and how to have no burdens in life and yet not deny life.

It is simplicity that counts, be it in the perspective of mission or a saint like Ji Gong

When men were nobodies and had precious little or nothing in status or wealth, life was simpler and relationship more plain selling as well. But with progress in life of men due to blessings say in temple work, ego rears it ugly head and men can no longer be easy with one another. Men may even go after the father figure and bite the hand that raised them. Thus they inevitably break precepts of respecting elders just because elders are not perfect. The rest of the story you know better. This is the sad aspect of the stories of many families, societies, temples and churches.

Simplicity counts - better nobody than somebody.

It was better have more nobodies than somebodies in the early phase of the mission of Lord Bo Tien when all were young and fresh from school and national service, when all were nobodies in 1969 than 40 plus years later when many had progressed and were somebodies in society.

Insp Ling
old photo

In post 1969 era, all had to look up to Elder Ling then a senior police officer for leadership in management and setting up of mission's new concrete building. He had good heart but was rough and tough even hurtful but he held sway and that mattered and augured well for local and overseas mission. He had since left the front line but remains in the backdrop despite reservations by many.

The early post 1969 era

All in 1974 era had mistakes and weaknesses but they were able to overlook and work as one; for being nobodies, they had less status and pride. But times have changed and many have drifted from one another but some are still good and that is why there is localised and limited initiatives which may still has semblance of mission. The charity drive of the local initiative as in 2013 is way ahead of doctrine.

Doctrine has allot to catch up and must supersede charity aspect as the mission proper is doctrine based. There would have been no need for mission by the lord saint if just for charity activities as charity had and has been the practice of many temples and churches.

The mission is to set the pace for others to follow and not to follow what others have been doing. Lord Bo Tien descended to make the difference and not to start another run of the mill temple, church or charity. The difference has to do with doctrine and oneness of God behind all religions.

The early post 1969 era with Inspector Ling
at helm standing on right and in 'white'

It too was better for Ji Gong as monk Daoji in ancient China to act like nobody than to show otherwise some 1000 plus years ago (as of 2013).  He did not follow the norms - by being dirty and beggarly, by eating meat, drinking wine, dancing and rolling on floor like a vagabond. Thus he was frowned at and even despised at by the dominating high echelons of society at that time 1000 plus years ago (from 2013) in China and was expelled from the monastery.

At least, he could be a nobody and be with the numerous nobodies. Otherwise, he would be blocked by the high society monks and echelons and be distanced from the wider public, the down trodden and the rest of the nobodies in society.

He had to behave like a nobody so as to reach out to and bless the nobodies and at same time provided the timely wake-up call for the somebodies when his sainthood became well known later. This way both nobodies and somebodies could have their hearts awaken to Tao, be blessed and be enlightened.

If he had been prime and proper and had toed the ethics of monastery, the somebodies would  be more emboldened to ever be more upstarts and self conceited, be that more intoxicated by ego though they might abstain from alcohol and looked prime and proper. The nobodies too would not have the blessing of his mingling directly with him.

Enlightenment is never meant only for the well heeled and nobility but for all - both the nobodies and somebodies.

Simplicity counts and it is far better to be more of nobody than to be somebody as far as the cultivation of the heart of Tao or Way to God and inner peace is concerned.

Simplicity counts and one day not far from 2013, there is no need for images, shrine or place of worship. There may in time come the day when institutional religion is a thing of the past. This may be far fetched but is already the norm for many who are spiritual and yet without a religion. Religion will outlive its value if it is to divide men and make them come to blows with one another.

Let there be simple relationship between man and God. Man must not think the world of himself and the one who feels he is nobody even when he is somebody is the one God can count on.

The one who literally has nothing should not give up but have confidence he can have more and be somebody if he is content for now for being a nobody.

The reason is that if he has the heart and peace of spirit, he is better off being a nobody than the one who has plenty and is somebody but empty at heart. The latter is the actual nobody.

Simplicity counts - Better nobody than somebody.

Let us be reminded of Ji Gong. Ji Gong is more than a somebody who behaves like he is a nobody. He is a saint who does not appear to be a saint but acts like he is not one but like any vagrant on the floor at the street corner.

Ji Gong is new and in a way a nobody to any temple in the name of Lord Bo Tien but this does not mean he cannot be somebody in the Mission of God with Lord Bo Tien as messenger or facilitator.

Lord Bo Tien too did say in 1975 that he was not here to display his  magnificence and majesty as a heavenly saint and he tells precious little of himself. The image only personifies the doctrine. We know precious little of him,  in fact almost nothing of him except that the image is the doctrine and doctrine is his image.

It would appear that he wanted us to know the doctrine of God knowledge and didn't want us to know that he is somebody in Heaven. It is alright to have the impression that he is a relatively nobody compared to the other saints and he had been unknown to man till he made himself known from around 1969 and even then we know almost nothing of him.

He is certainly somebody but yet portrays himself as nobody. We could not even have his image at altar unless there are the images of Buddha and Goddess of Mercy. The images of Buddha and Goddess of Mercy must take precedence over his image and his image should not be in any households save perhaps for his handful of pioneer followers.

His temple if any is only the representation of or the gateway to the universal temple with the sky or heaven as the roof and religions as the pillars. All under heaven are in this temple and even nobodies are part of the temple. No one can be barred from the temple.

The universal temple.
All religions and saints
under same God.
All in one

There are three gateways so far to the universal temple but the last listed the Living Life Series is taking dominance in the mission as it is doctrine based and the mission is a doctrine mission. It has enabled people far and wide apart to appreciate and be involved.

There are the few in the other two gateways who are less concerned with doctrine and more to be somebodies in society. Their myopic orientation to society angle is fueled by their wanting to change fast from being nobodies to somebodies, albeit more in societal standing and that in a way is good as well and no doubt about that.

That is a blessing that they want and the lord saint Lord Bo Tien will provide this as well. It is their choice and focus but all should move on to more lofty spiritual focus. One or two do have spiritual focus but want to take on leadership role in spirituality even before they are better cultivated because of the void in spiritual leadership.

They in a way are still nobodies and yet want to be more than nobodies. They are better than the self professed somebodies who see the dust in others eyes but fail to see their own. Hopefully the writer is not like them, but only time will tell. Who knows? He may not be able to see dust in his own eyes, as said by Lord Jesus.

Lord Bo Tien did say in 1975 that the far may be near and the near far. The nobodies are better to work with than the somebodies but yet from time to time the reverse is needed.

So long as doctrine is in the heart of a man and that man lives by doctrine, it does not matter if that man is a nobody or somebody. He who knows and sees the doctrine, knows and sees the lord saint. This Lord Bo Tien said in 1975. He is loved by gods (saints) and men. Heaven stands by that man and is in that man.

With doctrine, there is simplicity and less complexity in life. Problems if any are not as bad after all even if they are difficult ones. Issues will be no issues to man of doctrine. Big issues will be small issues even if they cannot be no issue. There will be peace come what may. God is with him and he is with God.

The man who lives by doctrine is somebody even if he is a nobody. The man who knows doctrine and lives by it will know he is a nobody even if he is somebody.

Be like Ji Gong. Though more than a somebody for he is a buddha and a saint, he acts like a nobody, goes for simplicity and prefers the floor of men than a seat in Heaven. He prefers the grey robes of a beggar and looks every bit dignified in it.

He belongs to no temple, sect or religion but is accepted by all religions and sects as he does not have any historical hierarchical position in any religion.
