The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The wise one is happy always

No 72 of Living Life Series 1

To be sure there is a reason for our present life.  But do we live just for us to fulfill this purpose at the exclusion of every thing else? Do we just toil and suffer in life just because life has to do with hallmarks of suffering, impermanence and insubstantiality? Do we just despair and ignore the living and joy of daily life just because death is certainty?

On the contrary we need to position ourselves to be happy and to have what ever passing joy we may have out of every passing event, or experience. Only then, could we be able to harness the inherent love and blessing of God in the nature of things and at the same time have the tenacity to face events and problems as they unfurl.

Life as described by the good Lord Bo Tien may alternate between calm and storms, not just in this life time but from life to life. Surely knowing thus, we must treasure the calm seas we have and be happy. Even during storms we should hang on to what ever meaningful life and happiness we can have, for it is better to have life even amidst storm than not to be alive. We must not just survive the storms but live as well as we can during storms for we must not forsake the gift of time and life. We must treasure the divine commitment that the Saints will be with us if we so seek them with sincerity and in earnest.

Do not forget that every cloud has a silver lightning. There is hope and light even in darkness of life. There is joy and purity of the lotus even amongst the mud and water of life. The disciple of God and Saints will relish every chance to nurture the lotus out of the mud and water habitat. There is blessing and joy which can be there for us to have even in seemingly turbulent and troublesome times.

Poise ourselves to want to be happy and to want to harness joy come what may. Make out the best out of every opportunity and even during seeming calamity. The wise one will do so and not wallow in defeat and misery. At worst, he still has the joy of fellowship with divinity. This fellowship with the “Leng” or divine Holy Spirit will always be with him.

With cultivation of divine spiritual principles of inner truth common to and behind all religions, the wise one will be the happy one for he will be on the road to divine success in this life and the next. At the same time, these principles if applied to daily mundane life will ensure more mundane or worldly happiness. This is the dual fruit of spiritual life, for we must not forsake present life just because we prepare for the after life. Thus we can truly be happy come what may.

The wise one is at peace and have joy always whilst the fools wallows in misery and misses every opportunity. Even when there are calm seas, the fools lament why they have to go through storms. Fools fail to harness the joy of life both during calms and storms.

The person who is happy with life is wise. Only fools wallow in misery even if they have blessings just because they could not have better things or just because they experience some hiccups in life.

Do be wise. Wise up with life and we will be happy. We must love ourselves and only then can we be happy. We can then do things better and we can see things better. We will love ourselves better and can tap into the love and blessings of God and Saints.

The wise one is happy always for he has understood true wisdom of life. “The wise one understands the truth of ancient wisdom for the profound inner truth is simple but yet difficult to perceive” This is a quote from the old temple of Lord Bo Tien.

The inner truth is the core truth based on which the explicit truths of religions and   denominations are woven and based on which they are elaborations and the means to the inner truth.

They in turn enable the prophets to determine and promulgate ways by which to hold on to their flocks and following so as to energize them to spiritual blessings and to the same inner truth of Trinity of God, Divinity and His saints.

There is only one inner truth but this is presented as a variety of explained truths to reach out to all beings to meet the varied needs and taste.
