The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The blessings of Heaven

No 112 of Living Life Series 1

The Lord has said that the far may be near and dear as they need blessings and guidance more than those who are good and near, though bad and far they may be to many.

The blessings of God are for all who are in difficulties and for all souls. There is no disbarment from divine blessings. The divine nectar like the nectar of the flower is for all who want it, and it is not for a select group. Otherwise, the bad will be worse off, and in time be ever worst-off in bottomless pit of wrong. There is no eternal hell or damnation of sorts. But eternal compassion by God and the saints is the divine norm as stated time and again by the sages of the faiths and religions, past and present.

A heavenly saint like the caring Lord Bo Tien will tend to all in His flock and more so for those who stray, who are lost, who are not blessed even to be in the flock, who could otherwise not be able to make good on their own.

This is not to say that the good will not be blessed, but the lost need to be reached out to, and no pre-conditions will be set for any hand of help extended to them. While goodness is a virtue, and will be appreciated, those with vice and wrong are not to be scorned at but to be empathised. So long as anyone reaches out to the Lord in earnest and sincerity, no wish or prayer is too small, trifle or insignificant to be answered.

If those with sincere heart worship in earnest the Lord, the Lord does know. If those with sincere heart pray in devotion to the Lord, the Lord will come forth to their fold.

This is the compassion of the Lord. The mission of God entrusted to the Lord is to assist all in difficulties and to save all souls irrespective of creed, status and background.

Even Angulimala the bandit who collected a garland of thousand thumbs was worthy of help of Lord Buddha Gautama, and he was enlightened by Lord Buddha to be an arahat and a venerated member of His order of monks, the Sangha.

Man is man and God is God. The ways of man will not be the ways of God.

A down-and-out man needs to take stock of what he needs to do to meet the expectations of fellow men and to cool and temper the wrath of men.

But God does not measure him in same way. God shows no wrath but mercy, forgiveness, tolerance, latitude, patience, love and compassion.

Easy indeed is it to please Heaven and God than to please men and the world.

Man takes things seriously and will usually insist on a bargain. Worst scenario is when men want an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, a pound of flesh and no less for a pound plundered or tainted.

God and saints give blessings and there is no transaction, no hint or tinge of bargain but outright gift.  Many ways of men are not the ways of God.

Men reap what they sow but God’ s divine hand may ensure they do not have bad harvest if they let God be their lamp.

Man must not tend to nurture and wallow in weeds of discontent and past misfortunes or bad experiences but cultivate continuously seedlings of blessings given by God and reap harvest crops of blessings, re –invest them together with more varied new seedlings of blessings from God for more bountiful future harvests.

The life energy is better channelled and directed to positive cultivation than to vexations on weeds of life, for the latter will merely facilitate more and more weeds of discontent and unrest.

The soil of the land must be irrigated and fertilised for seedlings to grow but not for weeds to flourish. Tend not to the weeds but rid and forget the weeds of unpleasantness of life and move on to cultivation of seedlings of divine blessings to secure our joy of life here and in life after. Then disaster will be averted and bliss will be ours.

When wrong is done, there is no sin as God is not harmed. There is wrong done by man. Man wrongs man (either himself or others) and not God.

God does not need us to offer sacrificial lamb when we seek Him to be our lamp.

We do not wrong God but we do wrong to other men or ourselves. Even if we do wrong God, why would God want to be angry with us and need us to show penitence and give sacrificial lamb.

Man must not have guilt feelings when they relate to God and the saints for they have not wronged God and the saints. Guilt feelings may do more harm than good, and makes us fear God and not able to cherish the boundless love of God.

Worship God and lord saints but not man. Give to man what is due to man and to God and saints what is due to God and saints. Judge not God and saints in way we would judge our fellow men. Know who is man and who is God. Some so-called rational ways of man are not the ways of God. Man has anger and wrath, but not God and saints. Man discriminates on shades of men but not God and saints. Man expects a return or bargain but not God and saints.
