The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Let it snow, life will still go on

No 1117 of Living Life Series 1

Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow
the weather outside
like life can be frightful
but life will still go on
so long as we keep warm
with love in our hearts
love just not made for two
but for one and all
in good and bad times
let it snow
let it snow
let it snow
Jesus lord is with us
with love and warmth
we can walk life together
with nothing to worry
even if it snows and snows
Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow
All lord saints too will do
To be our shelter
and answer our prayers
Issues become no issue
with saints beside us
Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow
Even if it snows
late into the night
with God and lords with us
and snowman watching outside
we are in good hands
Life will still go on
Let it snow
Let it snow
     Let it snow ....
The weather outside
like life can be frightful
but life can still go on
with warmth and love
in all our hearts
and God and saints
to warm our life
even if it snows and snows
Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow
Our life will still be bright
with a spring in our every step
even if it snows and snows
Let it snow
Let it snow
Let it snow

Let it snow! By:Dean Martin Lyrics :) - YouTube

To Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨,
all faiths are still one
in goodness and in God
even if faiths not one.
All cater to more wants
and to attract the lot.
Believe in all heavenly saints
and their religions all the same.
Rejoice in their holy days
That will be wholesome
and that more awesome
with oneness of faiths

With God and saints behind us
life can still be bright
even if it snows and snows

Going back to the basics

No 1116 of Living Life Series 1

All of us are born with innocence. We grow up as children ever innocent and pure. As we grow, we learn to be what adults are.

We pick up many good points. We also learn the not so good ones. We become less innocent and in fact no longer innocent.

That is when religion comes in. We fall back on the good old days when we depend on family to back us up. We depend on God and heavenly saints.

But it is no longer simple. We have more wants. We become opinionated. We ask not for simple and innocent things.

Of course, even some of the innocent things of childhood, a child cannot buy. He may not have the money. In any case, money cannot buy two front milk teeth. But there is the permanent teeth. How would a child know for sure that the teeth will come?

The child lacks the conviction and knowledge. Not only is the child simple innocent and pure but he lacks knowledge and wisdom that should follow the knowledge if he is adult enough.

We may have this as adult but we lost our innocence, simplicity and if you like the purity of sorts that we are born with, that comes with us into this world.

We seem to be complicated and we must learn or rather unlearn to be pure. We may end up worse off than before. Life becomes more complex and we just cannot get out of this.

This is because we are no longer sheltered and provided by parents. We no longer can turn to them and put our trusts in people like them anymore. We have to be on our own.

We have wants and these create more havoc in us. We think of all angles - left, right and center. We get enmeshed and entangled. We have knowledge the child don't have. But the knowledge more so if wrong kind may not help at times.

We are no longer pure and simple. We become creatures of complexity. We have to turn to religion.

Houses of God are the answers but over there, there are more of those like us and these places may even be led not by pure, simple and innocent but by persons who are the wizards of sophistry - wolves in sheep clothing. We enter the liar of fox or if you prefer the cobweb of a spider. We may not know it till later.

We either get lost or grow in the Word of God out of adversity. If it is the latter, we may become contemplative and reclusive. We become meditative and have insight to get our back our childhood innocence and purity.

But our adult ego works against them. We are full of wants - often one too many. We become so polluted. We have to decontaminate our being. This is the problem of being man.
The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨says that problems and issues of life of men are many and plentiful. Men cannot even be the simple good that all religions talk about. They cannot walk even the straight line to the basic goodness and purity that is taught by all religions, let alone be more good to be saints.

Worse still, religions are run by men and not God and saints. The pursuit of simplicity, goodness and purity is no longer simple. Men must go back to the drawing board - the basics. They must always relate to the basics at every level of spirituality. Going back to basics makes sense.

Sometimes going back to basics means doing so based on one's cultural roots and not trying to be a more non - Chinese when you are Chinese. This includes valuing the role of the Earth God or Deity and Chinese customs.
Going back to basics means not accepting that one goes to eternal hell for the mistake of less than a hundred years as a man. Why would man be dammed eternally in Hell for a mistake or missteps in one short life of man? Going to basics would mean that certainly God cares for those in hell, be it hell on Earth or below. Those in hell of any sorts need to be saved. This will make better sense...

All will be good with love

No 1115 of Living Life Series 1

We are on the train of life
Yet we are all different
We have different life
Often a different story

We are all here together
We share the same world
Can we make the difference
To make life easier for one and all
Money do help
there is no doubt
To those in need
But it is not the all.

A kind word
a kind action
even a smile
can go the mile
To give cheer
and lighten up life
and give more push
to those who are bushed

Life may be unpleasant
to those who are dependent
and yet had still to face
the music that is life
Tone down your music
if you cannot help
so less noise there is
for others to cope

A bit more peace
will go the way
to be in one piece
and have tinge of bliss
But don't a hero be
when you badly need one
Just be pleasant
and add not to the load

Neither be miserly
when others are in misery
Give cause to cheer
this we be clear
Love makes things bounce
It makes world go round
So less problems abound
And more peace around

Ego hurts you all
Don't put on airs
Make life airy
for one and all
Love is the answer
All know that
that is the way
for one and all

God and saints do that
they love us all
even those in hell
here there or below
Know the Word
The Word is God
It gives peace
and fosters bliss

Need more be said
Action speaks loud
So go for love
So all be proud
Spread the love
that is of God
and all saints above
and all will be good

He who loves
is at peace and ease
If no peace and ease
such love is gloved
This prose is for all
inspired by the lord
the heavenly saint
God sends to all

Lord Bo Tien is he
To bring you glee
through life so free
from our ego spree
We can and will
have this at will
In faith we wheel
this is God's will

The Word is one
in faiths all in one
The Word is love
Love is what we want
All be good with love
Love not just for two
but is for one and all
to bring us awe

In God and saints we pray
Do not let us moan and groan
Have more love we pray
to give life more sway

Can the lord provide the answers?

No 1114 of Living Life Series 1

In 1969, the good lord descended
through P. Philip in Singapore
much to his surprise and ire
as he was a born Catholic of the day
The good lord entry as Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨
was graced and paved by Monkey God
But till he Brother Philip reached the end
Yet to be a wholesome believer at life's end.
Why he was chosen God knows
But the message of oneness of faiths
do give the answer of all answers
All religions are one after all.

So what difference does it make
If he was of this or of other faith
He is still of God and saints
whatever may be his faith or fate

Though not one and yet one
the temple that rose is fully one
though the lord said he favors none
But just to show all are one

The lord proved by the day
that truly even in a Chinese temple
the same truths of religions are found
in faiths that abound and around.
Oh how true and yet not so
when religions speak different tongues
and make one wonder how this be so
in a world ever in tears and on the run.

He taught the doctrine
he says are there in religions
the doctrine of goodness
in God and saints of the day
All are for the good of men
All will not fail men
though men may maim men
and fail God and saints

They bring down God's holy name
This makes the mission  ever the more
So needed in this world and day
 where conflicts do abound

All are one though not one
oneness in God and in truth of life
Let this be known again and again
For more and more to gain and gain
Who is God matters not
But what is the Word counts
For the Word is God
And God is the Word

When we live in the Word
The Word comes to life in us
God is in us for sure
What more can we ask

We will be blessed
We bless others as well
That would be swell
All will be well

Peace there will be
Peace for you to see
and in you with glee
if the Word is in thee

Finality in life in world with no finality ?

No 1113 of Living Life Series 1

If religion explains everything, then there is no need for science. If science explains everything, is there the need for religion? But the reality is that both exist side by side. Both have been with us in past, in the present and will be with us in the future.

Even if we believe ardently in a religion and discount science, science will still have a part to play in our lives. The same applies to those who do not believe in religion. The man who says he has no religion will still live his life based on his own simple beliefs of life that are not part of science. Well, this is how man is.

Man creates issues by answering issues. Man solves one problem but ends up realizing, there are more problems down the road. Man lives in a world of flux of change, and of opposing interacting yin and yang. This means there is no finality. There will be changes.

If man goes on like the world he is in, then there too will be no finality. Religion tries to answer this and to give finality. But the finality is a fragile one as it depends on faith and belief at all cost- even at the expense of reality thrown on the face.

This will create no peace. But peace is what we need. We must begin with peace in whatever we do. We must have peace and end up in more peace.

We must be atop the world of change and no finality. How do we do so?

Running away is not the answer. We will still be in this world. But riding the waves of change and no finality too means we will be swept around.

The sages of old in ancient China refers to the art of staying still, keeping the mind still even as life goes on and the mind keeps going.

Still the mind. This is not being mindless. In fact, it is being more aware and mindful. Only then, can we still the mind and be at peace while life goes on and on.

The changes in life are referred to as the yin and yang - the passive and active. Be in the world of change. But be atop and balance them. Keep the peace that way.

To start off, we must have some peace. Usually we rely on religion. We rely on others to guide us and back us as we learn to do so.

They give us the initial peace to kick start our quest for more of the inner peace. They can be our parents, our friends, our benefactors and the leaders of the land. More than that, they can be God and heavenly saints whom we are introduced to by culture or by religions.
The image of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 especially the whitish marble image is picture of pure peace and steadfastness. The feet of the lord is depicted as being atop and balancing the elements of yin and yang - the ups and downs, the opposing realities and forces of life.

Inner peace should be our focus. Inner peace must grow and loom large. It should dominate and overshadow the changes of yin and yang and sideline them as no longer significant. Mind you, this does not mean there are no changes and no world but that they no longer disturb our peace.

We take them in our stride, live with them and move on. We have finality in a world where finality is not part of. This is the way of God and saints we grow to be more like God and saints.

Do cultivate and have the finality of life in world with no finality. Do so in a relaxed way so as to keep the peace and have more of the peace which gives finality.

The ultimate finality is sainthood but the finality of the moment and the next is momentous enough. Remember to be acutely aware of the need for peace moment by moment but in relaxed fashion always. Guidance and fellowship with like minded is often needed. Often we may need a mentor.

Go big on small things and small on big things

No 1112 of Living Life Series 1

Go for simple devotion. Do simple acts of goodness. Smile and give cheer. Be kind to others and yourself. Don't worry if you are not pious or religious enough. Be ordinary and humble. Be simple and easy going. Don't take life for granted. Value the small things in daily life many seem to take for granted and feel that more blessed.

Such persons may be far from serious spiritual cultivation but end up near to spirituality even if they just go for devotion and simple acts of goodness. They may know little of the doctrine but the little they know such as to be good, avoid bad and be pure and simple in life goes a long way.

They may be small on the big things but are big for the small things. They go easy with themselves and not rush into the big things of spirituality.

They find life more rewarding both spirituality and otherwise. The values they hold on to for spiritual if practiced in mundane life works as well.

Go for the small things and the big things will take care of themselves. Go easy with life. They go for what many take for granted. They are happy with the little blessings of life.

Well, the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 realize the problems of men of religions. He says that those who want to go big with religion may think they are near to God and saints. But many end up floored and confused as to how to proceed. They may be near yet far.

The good lord says that the far from religious, those who don't even want to commit to religious cultivation may well end up more spiritual and more blessed. They end up near though far.

He said, "The far may be near and the near far." Those who know allot and talked allot more passionately in a temple may not be as good as those who know little in doing the basic good, avoiding bad and be pure and simple in life.

This basic teaching is in all religions and all cultures. This is common to and underlies all religions. This is the message of the good lord. All religions are one in basic teaching. This is the inner truth.

We must go for the little things in life and the big things will come in time and fall in place. When we want to start off big, we may end up small.

It is better to start off big on small things and small on big things. Then things though small will add up and we will end up big.

The good lord stresses that whatever spiritual values we have if applied to mundane or non-spiritual life will work as well. Then we will have double blessings of sorts - spiritual as well as worldly.

Don't say we don't need worldly life. Don't deny life but don't indulge in excess and be overwhelmed. Don't go for big things, just the small things will do - such as friendship, cup of tea and easy going life.  Be simple and move on.

Just appreciate life as it comes our way and count your blessings - even the air you breathe and every step you take with ease. Be mindful of and eschew the little blessings in life. Enjoy the smell of wet grass, the rising and setting sun, the sea view, the trees that grow with us, the chirping of birds, the sound of children at play and the daffodils in bloom.

The small things in life do add up. Worldly life may be small to the idealist religious man and not important at all to him but the experiences of worldly life do add up and contribute to the learning in life. Life after all is the living gospel - the Doctrine or Word.

So far, we have talked on individuals and not on group dynamics of a religion - any religion. As for a religion, if it goes for the big teachings that are philosophical and difficult to understand let alone practiced, not many will take to this. It becomes too academic, there will be splitting of hairs. Then religion will not attract the crowd.

If a religion goes for the small things, like singing and joy of worship, fellowship and partying mood, then it will attract the crowd and make headway. People go for nectar like insects to the flower. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that we blame not the flower for insects coming to it for nectar

If the teaching emphasis is lowered for just getting blessings here and now and going to heaven in after life rather than being enlightened and be saints, then more will take to the religion.

Change the goal never mind if heaven in afterlife is just a respite or resting place for more to go - enlightenment. Emphasize that it is easy to go heaven and that is it. Go for what is more likely to catch on as the in-thing.

But for some, having taken care of the small things in religion, these will add up and they will go nearer to the big thing - enlightenment or sainthood which Buddha refers to as Nirvana.

Thus, be it for a religion or an individual, go big on the small things and small on the big things. Don't go by the book and end up wondering why no results or returns - no crowd and no immediate satisfaction. Give this some thought, will you?

Well if you are Buddhists or Taoists, many will agree that for now and the foreseeable rest of life, they just need to be simple and devoted. Burn and offer incense and lotus lights. Do so for God and saints like the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 and be blessed. It is as simple as that.

This will be enough for now for the many. Go big for small things like incense and small on big things like philosophy and practices leading to enlightenment.

There will always be Christmas

No 1111 of Living Life Series 1

Keep the spirit of Christmas alive and well
with music and cheer for one and all
Not just on Christmas Day
But throughout the year before Christmas

There will always be a Christmas
There will always be hope and good tidings
coming our way not only yesterday, today
but also on any other day

This is the promise of God
Through Christ the lord
who was born in a manger
on none other than Christmas Day

Christmas is about Christ
and not about Santa in us
But Santa delivers the spirit of joy
and peace on earth and in heaven
There will always be a Christmas somehow
Christ will be born again
at least in our heart and in our life
That is what we should have.

Hear the bells ringing
for Christmas year after year
All without distinction can rejoice
in Christ the lord on Christmas Day
Christ lord too is one of all the saints
the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨
the messenger for the oneness of faiths in God
wants us to open our hearts to

Do go to a church not just on Christmas
but on any other day to join our brethren
to rejoice in the spirit of the love of Christ
for all men not just for Christmas Day

But for all the days of the year
and for all the times
This is the Christmas spirit
we help to keep alive for one and all
