Religion as well as religious life is about the relationship of man with Divinity. It never and ever should be centered on the relationship of man with man for Divinity. It is how man can be closer to God and be god-like in attributes. We need to learn from the nature of life. This can be seen in true perspectives in one’s own self and in others. Religion is good as far as the ends are concerned but can be vehicle of bad if man rather than God takes centre-stage not just in the ends but in the means to the ends.
Brethren, Lord Bo Tien has stated clearly that He is here not to start new ends but to explain already spelt out ends common to all religions. This must be done by making sure the means are correct.
If the ends have to do with oneness of Divinity, then the means too must not deal with the sometimes disruptive and godless fancies of men but with the unifying oneness and Godly nature of Divinity. It is for this reason that the temple of Heaven as explained by Lord Bo Tien had to undergo through three phases.
The first phase depends on what ancestral common folk peddle as means to reach Divinity. Thus there was trancing and it was only for phase of thirteen years before it was phased out.
The next phase of thirteen years depended on the leadership of man concurrent with the direct leadership and guidance of Divinity. The founder trancer was with the temple and so was the core human cohort surrounding the trancer. There was good leadership with strong social work (e.g. charities) but no matter how good such human guidance and leadership is, it was finite, human and far from perfect, ideal or divine.
In the third phase, human leadership of the old, that is, by man for man took a back stage out of natural flow of necessity. The core founder leadership faded into history but some would remain if they could provide the backdrop for the new phase. Divine guidance and leadership takes centre-stage. The disciples and devotees of the Lord acts individually and in their own complementary ways they attempt to be in tune with God and Saints. There appears to be a void when guidance by man for man ebbs away and the void is slowly pervaded by the guidance and leadership of God and lords. This will strengthen with time and the devotee with sincere heart will have direct connection with divinity and not indirect through non-divinity. Divinity is ready for the Mission to be led by the Lord and His host of warriors or angels. The reins to pilot the Mission of Heaven came to be solely in the hands of Divinity. The agenda will be preserved to ensure no human agenda comes to the fore to contaminate the pure and divine agenda of the Lord. The third phase will ensure that the far will be near to the lord, and some of the near may not be near due to their human ways.
Thus within the history of the three phases, all can learn and the lord saint Lord Bo Tien had said. "You can learn from your individual strengths and weaknesses as well as learn from the strengths and follies of those around you.” The history of all religions bears witness to the wisdom of this advice. We must know who the modern-day 'Pharisees' are and who are the 'Gentiles', that is who are near and who are far. “The far may be near and the near may be far” Thus said the Lord. To be with the Lord, seek Him for His divine guidance through prayers and self - contemplation in your daily life. “Seek with sincere heart the Lord Saints and the Lord Saints will know and come to you”. Thus did Lord Bo Tien remind all. The only pre-requisite is sincerity of wanting help and not how right or wrong, how good and not so good men are. All men can and must be with the Lord and Saints. Let all men be with the Lord and Saints.
