The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Shortcomings do not make us less worthy

No 48 of Living Life Series 1

There is the common tendency to think others are wrong and to pass judgment.

It is perfectly alright to reflect and to have view points. But beyond that do not be self righteous and think well of one self and caste others in bad light.

Many see the specks of dust in others eyes but not in their own eyes. But even if we can see the dust in our own eyes, we should not even put ourselves in bad light.

We do not need to pass judgment on ourselves and feel that we are failures. It is perfectly normal to make mistakes or to do things in not as good a way as should be. We cannot be in state of prolonged inaction until we have the perfect way for there is always a better way. The rainbow recedes as we go near it  or it may just vanish from our sight. We need to learn and we need to improve.

No venture and there will be no gain, so the sages say. We learn from what we have done and we learn how we could fare better in future scenarios. This is a far more positive approach. This is a far more loving and open approach, and far more nurturing as well.

Be nice to ourselves and to others. Allow ourselves to learn from our experiences. Do not brood, and do not set our views in stone. Do not be hard on ourselves. Do be kind to oneself. Love begins with oneself as the epicenter. So long we do learn and we can progress and share a thing or two, this is what matters most.

The good Lord Bo Tien reminds us not to have guilt and says that sin or wrong done to Divinity is not to be a concept as it is punitive and degrading. God and saints do not begrudge us for our shortcomings. They (God and saints) are not worse off by our shortcomings.

We bear the consequences of our shortcomings. But the moment we learn and be wiser from our experiences, we are better off. God and saints will rejoice that we are better off, and thus we will be ever more blessed.

We must ever be mindful that all have shortcomings and these do not make us fall short of the glory of God though this may seem to be the case. God wants us to learn and not to wallow in self blame or guilt. Praise Lord and God. Sin or wrong done to Divinity there should not be. And our shortcomings do not make us fall short of the glory of God. Shortcomings are just learning points. They give us opportunities to learn and to be closer to God and Saints.
