The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The Temple of Heaven in our life

No 37 of Living Life Series1

Better to be far than to be near but not seeing eye to eye.

What is the point of being near when we cannot look at one another in the eye and be one at heart, and in words thoughts and deeds.

We are more worthy of the God and saints even when we may be far from one another but close to one another in words thoughts and deeds.

There are those who claim to be close to heavenly saint like Lord Bo Tien but they can be far if they are blinded by the devil of the ego. They see not the saint in their fellow men but the devil in them. They cook up more than a pound of rivalry and find fault in one and all. This will keep them apart.

Better to be far (eg belonging to different sects) but to have at least an ounce of harmony and co-operation. This is far better than to call one another brethren, be physically close (eg in the same sect) but have a pound of rivalry and scorn. An ounce of co-operation is far better than a pound of rivalry. An ounce of goodness is better than a ton of devil of the ego.

We can be one at heart even when we do not meet, but we can be divided even when we are together under the same Lord.

All heavenly saints like Lord Bo Tien advise us to see the good in our fellow men and not the devil of the ego. We will be worthy of Heaven if we can be one in words, thoughts and deeds.

We should be like the elements of a concrete pillar, which will remain solid and strong wherever it may be moved. This can only be so if we can be bonded like the elements of the pillar. The Temple of Heaven will be far from us if we are not one when we come to the Lord, and are far from one another. The Temple of the Lord will be near if we can be one at heart even if we are miles apart. The real temple is built not on bricks but on the hearts of men when there is oneness of heart.

The far can be near and the near can be far. This often has been said.

This is true also of the temple of God. The real temple can be near if there is oneness, but it can be far if oneness eludes us, and we end up having a divided house, not a temple of Heaven. Yet it is true too that there is still oneness even if men belong ot different houses but have some form of cooperation. The Temple of the Lord can be near and yet far. It can be near even if it is far from finality if we are one at heart.

The Temple of the Lord can be near and yet far, can be far and yet near. This is true for all religions and explain why more sects in any religion and more religions instead of only one are alright and yet intially regarded otherwise by many. Moreover, without sects and diversity, without the many religions, how could father Heaven reach out to all beings.

Praise God for the army of sects and religions....to save souls and assist those in difficulties.
