The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Do live life by valuing life

No 4 of Living Life Series 1

Life life and value life, our own life and others lives. The issue is how to value life. Whilst many say that we must service others before self, many forget that if they are of no service to themselves, how can they be of service to others. True, if we have more,we can share with others. In so doing, we add value to life, not just others lives but also enriching our own life.

We must be steady and hold the ground for our own life and be that much richer in spirit before we can be the anchor to benefit others around us on our right and on our left.

To help others when we cannot help ourselves is to deny own life. We will be of no value to others in the end.

But at the other extreme, we cannot indulge in ourselves and hoard for more, for that would not add value to life but devalue life. Why? Incessant wanting is painful and erodes away the peace and happiness in life.

The image of the lord saint with feet balancing the elements tells us the need to balance denial and wanting.  We value life and neither deny nor crave endlessly for more. Both extremes are painful and devalue life.

We hold the ground of reality. The left hand of the lord saint bids us to be steady and maintain the solid ground to value life - our own and that of others.

Without valuing our own life, we are of no value to others. If we value our life, we should value others as well.

If we never seem to have enough though we are better than many, and we seem to want more and more, then we are in sorry state of incessant wanting. We are in no state to be of service even to our own life.

Value life. We must neither deny life nor crave for more than what can come our way. This will nurture peace in life.

We must be like the image of the lord saint and hold on with our right and dominant hand to the septre or way of the heavenly saints so that the flame of our life will glow even brighter when sheltered by the heavenly saints like Lord Bo Tien.

The way to value life and have peace is in the pose of the image of Lord Bo Tien. The doctrine on need to live life by valuing life is portrayed in the image. The doctrine is in the image and the image is the doctrine.
