The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Live life mindful of the right of way

No 29 of Living Life Series 1

(1)   There is the near and there is the far. The far can be near and yet the near can be far. There is the far in us and yet there is the near in us. Everyone is far and yet near to God as represented by the religions of the world, and for writer, the lord saint Lord Bo Tien.

(2)   Everyone thinks that he is right but yet he can be not that right. He thinks that he is near to being right but he may in fact be far from being so. He is near and yet far.

(3)   What is right in worldly sense is right to some but not to all. What then is the correct right after all? Who is more right? Who is nearer to being right when there are many ways of looking at an issue?

(4)   For a simple issue of what is right is not as simple as it seems, or there will be easy consensus from the start. If there is none, is there the need to argue till cows come home? What is the point? We should not waste time over which way is the correct way, but rather decide how we can attain what we want, by way best for all if not most of all. Do not assume the right of way, for if you do others too will think likewise. At same time, do not hassle as to who has right of way, whose way is more right, and so on. More important is to decide what is the objective and go for the objective. The way is not as important but we usually squabble over the ways or means but not the ends. But having said thus, we still have to dabble over which way to do things, and while we can narrow down the choices, it is not always possible to decide which way.

(5)   For Bo Tien followers, divine considerations, and not pure human considerations should determine the choice. If we should employ human ways, human ego will come in and as long as we do so, we will be blinded by ego. We then forget that the ways are not the ends. The ends are spiritual ends of the mission of Heaven, and not the egos of beings. But when the human egos become the substitute ends in place of Mission, the result will be the undoing of the very purpose of the Mission, which involves the foregoing of the ego, and not to potentiate the ego.

(6)   There are amongst men, people of different talents and views. It is good to differ and to be different but men must come together and pool their talents to help one another and to help others. Coming together means that someone must lead, and the choice must not be solely human choice but divine choice as well. Who are we to decide what should be decided by heaven on objective none other than the Mission of Heaven to save all souls even those in hell. The final choice of which is the way to do the mission must rest with a leader for he who leads must be comfortable with the way. He may not be able to meet the neds of all in his group, but howelse can the group pull together and move effortlessly as one most of the time if not all the time

(7)   The Mission of Heaven through the various religions and sects is the will of Heaven, and not the whims and fancies of men. In any group, the choice of the leader to lead at human level too may well be the choice of Heaven, and not the choice of men. That which is due to Heaven give unto Heaven, and that which is due to men let these not complicate the ways of Heaven. Often, this is not as simple as it seems. But, do pray for divine hand to show the way and there will be no issue in the end.
