No 931 of Living Life Series 1
Let us be painfully aware that life is the real religion and not the religions of men for men. Culture is about life in the society we live in. We identify with culture and the practices of the culture we are in.
Out of convenience, we come forth with labels like Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity. In reality, many just do what the others do. When in church, they worship like all in the church. When in a Hindu temple, they readily follow the customs and are welcome.
No one need to renounce their culture or allegiance. They just join in and be one, as it is in their culture to do so. That is best and pragmatic. In fact, this is ideal. Cultural ideal holds sway. It is pragmatic.
This has been the practice and way of ancestors. Why is there the need to be different now? Were our ancestors ill advised and wrong all along? Surely, this could not be.
All must be one in God and saints and our culture requires us to accept, respect and pay homage to the saints of all religions. This truth of oneness of all in religions and all heavenly saints is emphasized by the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 the divine messenger of the need for oneness of religions and oneness of saints, and the oneness of the basic message of all saints for us to believe in.
There is need to be good and not to be wrong. There is further need to be more than good and not wrong. We have to be pure and willing to be pure for the good of one and all - not just our own good. This is so we can handle and be atop the ups and downs of life and have peace come what may. This is Tao 道 that is in all religions and cultures.
