No 927 of Living Life Series 1
When we receive help from someone, does it mean we cannot have help from others as well? What kind of friend or benefactor will say that we cannot do so? Will it be far from wise to think that the friend is a jealous friend and will not want us to have other friends?
Well, in religion, a saint is a friend as well as benefactor. Unlike men, surely God and saints don't mind if you receive help and blessings from more than one. They are open minded and liberal. They have love for beings and do what they can. They will not dangle carrots and tell us you can only have one saint to believe in.
They do not have ego and jealousy. They are not men. The ways of men are not the ways of God and saints. But the way of saints may be the way of some wise men.
But many or rather some think that God and saints are jealous gods and we can only have allegiance to one and only one. This would be misrepresenting God and saints.
This will be seeing man in God and saints. See not the man in God and saints. We too should not see the God or saint in man. We should neither worship man in God and saint not the God and saint in man.
Man is man and God is God. See not the ways of men in God and saints.
Instead of portraying God and saint as behaving like men, we should see God and saints as God and saints. Don't make men out of God and saints.
There is oneness of God and saints even if there is no oneness of men. Religions are all one in God and saints if God and saints have their way. This is the message of Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 on the oneness of God and saints.
Religions provide the richness of diversity to reach out to all men, not to divide but to unite men in God and saints. But as religion is man-made, men in their passion for God and saint may at times caution fellow men that they must be loyal but of what use is loyalty if men are carried away and end up having ill-will to men who are do not toe their line.
The ways of men are not the ways of God and saints. That is the reality we must wake up to. This too did the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say.
Well, we must be cautious and prudent. The good lord did not say that we can be outright frank for that will hurt and that may be the result of ill-will as well. Perhaps, all said and considered, it is not as easy as it seems.
God the Jade Emperor though the ruler of the three worlds of Heaven, Earth and Hell is still a being and like man, God has feelings. If what is due to God is not given due concern, then he has the right to right the wrong but with out any ill-will or malice. God is God. He is no man.
There are always two sides to the coin. It is important that we see from all angles and know God better. One thing is sure. God and saints are above ill-will, above insecurity and will rise to the occasion. It is unfitting, derogatory and blasphemous to say that God and saints can have anger and jealousy.
They will not kill or harm. They will not hurt and are not hurtful in any way. Man may be so but not God and saints. Man hurts himself and blame others even God and saints.
The followers and angels of God and saints may have anger and jealous but not God and saints. They are zealous and often out of proportion. That is men. What do we expect of men caught in the web of passionate and ardent carried away religiosity? Love is blind and they can have their feet swept off the ground.
But then, wait a moment. For God sake, do not belittle God or saints. For God sake too, do not think that the followers and angels of God are like that - that they have anger, ill-will and jealousy which go against the very grain of religiosity and defeat the purpose of their being in religion. They may be a little so but definitely way better than most men.
