No 932 of Living Life Series 1
A heavenly saint like the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 is versatile and has economy of words. Unlike man, a saint does not need to speak at length in many sentences and words.
Even in silence, God and saints can put across the message. Sometimes they do resort to silence when it is necessary. The silence of God does not make his presence less but even more omnipresent.
Examples of the economy of words of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 are appended below.
Life is the living gospel. Learn from life your own and that of others.
Man is man and God (saint) is God (saint).
The ways of men are not the ways of God and saints.
The problems and issues of men are many and plentiful. Men may create problems by solving problems.
See the Word in God and saint. Know the Word and know the saint. Idolize not God and saint, let alone idolize men.
The far may be near and the near far.
Insects may come to the flower for nectar. Blame not the flower for insects coming to it.
Blame not the saint if a temple attracts those who come for personal gains. They are the ones who need to be in a temple. They may be near but yet far. One day they can be near.
Be like the candle flame to light up life. A collection of candle flames work even better. This holds true, be it for religion or for men.
There are three ways to have blessings. Men can get blessings from saints but men too can be blessings to one another. Men can be blessings to themselves as well.
Saints are of few words when men speak at length. We must learn to have economy of words and actions. We must learn to minimize frivolity.
When the Buddha was a man, all he needed to do was to speak a stanza or two, a statement or two to a man and that would work. The man who heard him would be enlightened. Nowadays, men can comb the books and attend talks but the effect is not as good.
God is silent. He never talks but is effective. His silence speaks volumes. Saints are of few words. Men are not as effective though men talk at length. Men are noisy. Perhaps empty vessels do make the most noise.
