The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The best of both worlds in a house of God

No 952 of Living Life Series 1

Given the choice, who would not want to go to a house of God where they can get the same pleasures of life as outside the house of God. It would be a bonus if the monk or priest is a star of the show with ability to sing, rap and dance.

The pleasures which they want but could not get enough of they could get more in the house of God and saints. This culture has set in and is not a bad thing.

With dim and flashing lights and latest technology for loud and state of the art music, who would not prefer the house of God to the entertainment spots outside the house of God.

Gone will soon be the days when people go to the house of God for solitude and quiet time to be with God and saints in silent prayer and communication.

The modern priest or clergy has to be in the spotlight and ensure he is in the spotlight to capture the hearts and attention of men. People do not just go for the personal bonding time with God and saints but go for the nectar of worldly pleasures and entertainment in a house of God.

Let this be and in fact God and saints may not have objections though whether this is ideal is another matter. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that the flower should not be blamed for insects coming to it for nectar. Blame not people for coming to a house of God not just for spiritual time with God and saints but also for entertainment and be led in entertainment and indulgence in pleasures of the senses.
Men of modern society indeed are fortunate to have the best of both worlds in a house of God - spiritual and social joys and pleasures. This if viewed correctly can be a blessing.

We need more of those to come to a house of God. We have to provide the nectar for them to come to the house of God, for otherwise they may not come. Many out there tend to be lost to spiritual influence and can only be lured to a house of God in whatever ways that are necessary to bring them in

In age-old Chinese temples the nectar that attracts insects to the flower can take the traditional free vegetarian food through out the day on assigned days of the month. This is no different from the pomp and noise of light, music, song and dance in some houses of God and saints. But some will not agree.
