No 924 of Living Life Series 1
Can we be one society of many races? Yes and this should be.
Can we be one world with many nations? We already are and that is the reality. We must live in harmony and share weal and woe. One nation's concerns will affect other nations as well
Can we have many religions and yet uphold oneness of religions? Yes and this too is what is going on. But this is not enough. Why not enough?
Why not go not be more committed? Why not go further than oneness of faiths? Let us belong to more than one religion. Let us believe in more than one religion. Let us believe in all religions and that would be simply wonderful, wondrous and whole. Wow, isn't that simply awesome?
Yes please, we must not just have oneness of religions but go beyond that. Let us believe in all religions and be more whole. The world will be more wholesome, blessed and richer.
Religions uphold the goodness of men. It is only natural that if we believe in one, we should believe in all. It is a matter of all or none.
The mission of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨the messenger of the oneness of religions is to awaken in us the awareness of the oneness of religions and without reservations, all should uphold goodness, God and saints of all religions. All religions work for the common good of all beings and men. They do add up and count to better the lot of men.
That is why there is the universal prayer the good lord wants us to recite. "To all heavenly saints we greatly adore. We believe in your existence and thy glory is n the thought of men. We seek for thy protection and guidance so as to live better for the time to come."
We should not talk just about respect and harmony among religions.
We must go further to realize and believe in the oneness of religions in basic teachings and purpose. The basic teachings and intentions are same.
Ultimately, we should believe in all religions and what the saints of religions teach. Know why the teachings are same and why they appear to be different at times because of the context. Understand the teachings in context of history and culture. If we don't yet know, then we should try to know and in time we will.
Let us respect all religions, know the oneness of religions in basic teachings of goodness of men, and believe in all and be whole. Cheers.
Live up to the ideal of the oneness of men in God and saints. Religions are to unite men and not divide men in the name of God and saints. This ideal is worth having and marvelous for all to reach out for, isn't it?
Life is about love. Religions extend love and must set the correct example. They must love one another. Life of man is short and unpredictable. Only love among men and their religions will be the answer to counter the ills of life and make life pleasant meaningful and worth every minute of it.
Let there be love, more so in the name of religion. Let us uphold the noble intentions of religions. Let us believe in all religions and be whole.
Do not and never create ill-will and bad feelings among men in the name of God and saints. That would be blasphemous. That should never happen in the name of religion. That would be the last thing we expect in religion. That dear friends would surely make religion no longer relevant as religion.
Religion must uphold other religions. That is what should be if it is a religion. Let us believe in all religions and be whole.
Followers of all saints such as the Buddha, Lord Confucius and the Taoist saints should never believe, let alone broadcast that their respective saint is the only one worthy of respect. On the contrary and for sure, they often end up respecting and believing in all heavenly saints.
This dear friends has been the established practice and culture of our forefathers. Why on earth should this be not so today in an increasingly more civilized world? It would obviously be that more unthinkable otherwise.
But alas, men will always be men, and views can differ. Some are more right and some more understandable and acceptable even if not as right. This happens more so with religion. So what can we expect? There will be some who stick to that their religion and even more so their sect is more right. There may well be the basis. But what is more important is to have respect for others views which may be different - whether right or not is another issue. God bless us.
