No 958 of Living Life Series 1
No one has seen God not even those in the heavens except those in his court. He is not the beginning of all and he is not the end of all. We would like to think of him as the alpha and the omega and that will bring us more awe. We think he is awesome and so long as we do not see him he will be more awesome.
But what is the point of being head over heels in awe of him if that makes us blind to life and to him. After all, we are all told that God is everywhere but if this be the case, we should easily see God. Why are we so blind and not see him when he is everywhere.
Well, really, there appears to be no answer. God is everywhere. He is also in the saints and sages we know. He is in the Word behind the teachings of all religions.
The basic Word is the same but men are blind to this and think religions are different and not the same. Religions are there to reach out to men. Religions like God are everywhere to reach out to men and beings.
But men don't seem to see God. Men are blind to the oneness of religions. Men are blind to the Word behind religions and instead see the ugliness of life in place of the Godliness of life.
Men are blind to the Word - the inner truth behind and underlying all religions and life. This is the point that the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 wants us to know.
Though we do not see God even though he is everywhere, we can feel his presence and in that way see him if we can see the oneness of the world of diversity of life and religions. He who sees the Word and the oneness of the Word in life, in this world and in religions knows and sees God and saints.
No wonder the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that his image is the Word and the Word is in his image. What is the Word?
The Word is how to be good in life. We need to be good, avoid evil and to purify ourselves and be like God and saints. To do that we must be steadfast and directed at living in the Word. We must be good at balancing and being atop the vicissitudes of life, the ups and downs - the yin and yang as depicted by the feet of the good lord atop the elements.
Like in the image of the Word, we must hold on to the scepter of the Word or Way in the right hand and be devoted to the Way with the left. This is as depicted in the image of the good lord.
