The inner truth behind Tao or Way is that there is the yin and the yang. Yin and yang is like rain and sunshine or water and fire. Like what Lord Bo Tien said in one early annual message that both are needed and without one, it is no use to have the other. The optimum is to have both and one must complement the other.
It depends on the person or entity holding and balancing the two. This is the trinity concept of Tao - yin, yang and life. Tao concept is that yin and yang exist in holy trinity with Life. Life can be God, man or a saint. This is the Trinity concept in life and religions
In Taoism there is God and the yin and yang. This is the manifestation of Trinity.
In marriage, there is the husband (yang) and the wife (yin). God unites husband and wife in matrimony.
In Christianity, there is the concept of Divine Trinity of God, Jesus (yang) and the Holy Spirit (yin).
Even a deity or saint (Life) like Lord Bo Tien has right and left hand assistants, the doctrinal assistant (yin) and the martial assistant (yang).

In the Mission of Lord Bo Tien, the lord saint provides the balancing or controlling 'Life' to effect the Mission through two anointed / christened leaders - the spiritual medium (yin) in the late P. Philip and the mission head in Elder Ling Diung Kwong (yang). The yin leadership shifted to other significant person after the passing on of Philip.

This Trinity of Life, Yin and Yang is pervasive in many aspects of life and existence, secular or otherwise.
In secular life, there is the nation (life) , the government (yang) and the judiciary (yin).
The Way to peace, be it in secular or spiritual life is to balance the yin and the yang and achieve the ideal trinity.
