The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Of treats and threats, angels and devils in men

No 1182 of Living Life Series 1

Threats may work but treats are better. Give treats and compliments to those whom we want to win them over. No one in the right mind will use threats as threats never will win hearts.

Saints love all even those who are not as good as others. Otherwise how would those down and out in morality and spirituality have any chance to make good.

That is why in any of the temples anywhere be it in a temple of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 or elsewhere, you may instead chance upon not angels in men but the devils in men.
They are the ones who are close and near to the work of the temple but what they do in the temple other than the work of the temple may raise eyebrows.

Ill-will abounds. Name calling and swearing within the temple is not at all rare. Even drinking and slaughtering of animals like cats had happened.

There were even excuses for sexual misconduct in the upper echelons of those in spiritual leaderships - such as divorcing spouse to marry a young one.

But these do not indicate that there is no God or saint in a temple. It shows that God and saints embrace all even those who are off the mark.

Many are regarded as prodigal sons even if they cannot mend their ways. God and saints will win them over by treats and not chase them to oblivion with threats though in the initial learning process, God and saints may show that discipline is necessary.

Once the learning is over, they are left on their own. There is freewill but many mistaken that they can free wheel around and make a mockery of what a temple should be.

But a temple is by men for men though motivated by God and saints. As long as men are men and far from saints, what do we expect?

Men will be men and familiarity breeds contempt. Silence by God and saints give wings to more of the same. Men throw caution and prudence to the wind and do what they like.

Instead of love for fellow men, they may come to blows and bring one another to the courts. There is hardly any of the courtship of brotherly love amongst men.
