The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Love, Good Friday and the cross of life

No 1387 of Living Life Series 1

The love of a saint is for all. It is not just for the followers but for all.

History has shown that such love drives saints to leave family and comfort to reach out to as many as can be.

It is beyond the confines of a church or temple and do not wait for people to go to the saint before the love is offered.

You can be anywhere. You can be a doubter and non-believer. You too deserve love, kindness and compassion.

Monks, priests and pastors too love their families, temples or churches but they follow the footsteps of a saint to extend their love to all far and wide without any conditions.

Like what Bo Tien 武 天 says on the far and near, the far is near to them as well.

You can be a criminal on the cross or due to be hanged, but like any saint, they extend their love and care to them. They do not put conditions before they will help and care. Even if you are a pariah or outcast, even if others shun you, they will, like the saints, take care of you.

Sometimes, they may be misunderstood as condoning the devil in those who erred. They like saints help those in need even at their own expense - even if they face risks of picking up incurable illnesses, even if others may think they have joined the ranks of the outcast and criminals.

They are champions of love and they even love those who don't deserve love even more. They like Jesus may be misunderstood as joining the ranks of the anti-establishment. They may even end up persecuted like Jesus on the cross.

They, like saints, try to help those in need to carry the cross of the trials and tribulations of life. That is why on Good Friday, people of all persuasions and religions must learn that we need to be like Jesus never fear of being misunderstood.

We must help even those who are not with us and even if they are baddies or frowned at. For sure, such love may turn them from bad to good. There is however no guarantee that the outcome is good.

Well, the flipside is that before the efforts can bear fruit, others may misunderstand. Those they help may turn against them - just like what Judas did to Jesus.

We must reflect on the lessons of Good Friday - how one man Jesus try to do the impossible, try to carry the cross of life-ills for others so that they feel better and less burdened by life but end up misunderstood and given the death sentence on the cross. But his love is well treasured up till this day and will be so in the future.

Bo Tien 武 天 says we should learn from the lives of others and more so from the teachings of all saints of all religions so that we carry less burden of the cross of life - so that we have more ease and peace.

This is what all should do. This is the way to inner peace and liberation from the cross of life. Love is to lighten the burden of the cross of life of all. You may say that this is the lesson of Good Friday. We can help others to carry the cross of life.

The truth in life is that we must help others. This may be so simple but yet many engrossed with life and its burden fail to grasp. They may even misunderstand us and talk ill of us. We must not fear of being misunderstood.

Truth is really simple but yet profound - so others may have misgivings. But we should never fear of being misunderstood. The late brother Philip Png wants us to know this.

You may pray to a saint but not all prayers are answered. Yet, the saint has no fear of being misunderstood. He did what he could. There are also issues of fate, self-dependence and help by fellow humans. Also, you may have wrong concept or attitude to life. You may lose faith and think the saint is no saint.
