The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The awesome foresight of Bo Tien 武 天 tells us more of society

God and saints can see more than what men can. Even if men worship and have adoration of God and saints, they may end up far from the mark and end up doing exactly what should not be done. 

Let us reflect on what Bo Tien 武 天 said. When he descended to Singapore at Woodlands half a century ago from 2017, many just wondered why he said that he is here to bring awareness of the inner truth behind religions. 

This sounded odd and out of place but out of respect for him, the followers just accepted what he said. They dared not think otherwise. 

The religions, temples and places of worship were doing well. Why is there to indicate otherwise and to say that men should know the inner truth that is the common ground or space of all religions? 

Today in 2017 and beyond, we know better. Religions are by men and men tend to accentuate and promote the differences in religions. This may result in thinking that one religion is better than the others and even imply that other religions are misleading society. This can lead to unease, ill-will and the rest you will know. 

People harm others in the name of religion. They ignore and deny the common space - the common ground of values so much so that humanity is less human and far from humane. 

They criticise animal sacrifices the practices since ancient times but sacrificing family and lives of humans in the name of God and saints is alright. 

They disrupt family unity and cohesion and even say that the more important family is the family with God as the father. This sacrifices priority for big families. 

This promotes the breakdown of big families to nuclear families. With nuclear families, when children set up their own, parents are sent to retirement homes or even to nursing homes. Yet they show that they are charitable and caring to others. Isn't this ironical? To them this is not so. Family means family with God and others out there more important than parents and grandparents.

Another foresight statement by Bo Tien 武 天 is that for the mission to push the understanding and grasp of the common space, the inner truth behind all religions, he does not even depend on those who set up temples in his name. He said that he depends only on one or two to do so. 

This was then something perplexing but no one dared to say he was wrong though they do not accept. They felt that there were so many of them and surely they can be relied on to do the mission. 

How can one or two carry out the mission to the whole world? But as it stands in 2017, we have the world wide web and one or two can make it and effect the mission. 

Why didn't he depend on the many in his temples? He knows they are good and even do good like charity and aged home. But they are individualistic, not cohesive. Some or even many do good for their own gains, to get a better status and acclaim in society. In short, it is for their own ego or needs. 

But Bo Tien 武 天 adds that this is still good and will produce good for the needy. But the mission will not make any headway if he is to depend on them. 

He says the mission is by Heaven or Divinity and not by men. All that is needed is just one or two who are good enough. 

Moreover he said that insects and ants will always be attracted to a flower for nectar. No one then perceived the significance. Now in 2017 we know. The temples in his name can only attract those who want more for themselves even if they are to do some good for others. 

The temples end up no different from others when they should be different, stand out and be exemplary. But mind you, this is still good as it is better for the worldly to be in a temple for worldly gains so long as there is still some good for others more so the needy.

Looking back, the foresight of Bo Tien 武 天 is awesome and inspiring. From this, we can understand the ills and pitfalls of the world, be it be in the world or in religion. The awesome foresight of Bo Tien 武 天 tells us more of society. 

The writer no longer refers to him as lord not that he is no saint but that people may adore him and this may result in what Bo Tien 武 天 says as insects and ants coming to a flower for nectar. 

He says that he starts no new religion or sect and is not here to add to the many saints that men adore. 

He says in time people will forget about him in his temples and it is possible that his temples will change names and no longer be known as Bo Tien 武 天 temples. 

Will this come to pass? We do not know but time will tell us more with regards to what he really meant as the writer may misinterpret what he said.

But in truth his name is just a descriptive and at best an honorific. Bo Tien 武 天 literally is marshall of Heaven. Who he is immaterial but what he wants us to know is. 

This is the common space of religions - the inner truth. We must be good and know how to be better at being good. We can learn from all religions and all saints.
