The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Image is for mission and not devotion

No 1050 of Living Life Series 1

The image of the good lord
Lord Bo Tien
the messenger of God
is not meant to be a household deity
or to be a deity in a temple
but to be where the mission is.
The mission is to save souls
Helping the destitute needy
is just one of the first levels.
It has to do with more than physical.

It has to do with commitment
to the saving of souls
the purification of the spirit
not just meeting sensual and worldly matters
and definitely not just in a temple
It has to go beyond all these

It has to be how to be good,
how to avoid the not good
and how to purify the mind.
This is the same common teaching
of all religions and sects.
Religions have been elaborated
to include new practices and emphasis
to attract and bring in the crowd.

But the core teaching is more than
the helping the needy.
It is not even about going to heaven
but to go beyond heaven and be saint
when we have purified the mind
what some put it as the heart or spirit.
Thus the image reflects the Word
and portrays on the balancing of life
as depicted by feet on the elements.

There is need to balance denial of life
and indulgence in life as well.
There is need to stay the middle course
There is need to keep the peace.

This Doctrine is in every religion.
This doctrine is in life.
This doctrine is universal.

It is in the image.
It is what the mission is all about
To spread this truth that is in religions,
reawaken men to this
so that they be better
in what they are
and in the religion they are in.
The image is for the mission
Ideally where you find the image
there will be men of mission.
The image is to spearhead mission
and not for devotion and worship
Thus in the home of the writer
there are five images of the lord
no incense sticks or prayer items
no paraphernalia of devotion.

In the temple of the lord
if there be no mission,
then even the image below
in front of which the good lord
delivered his messages,
this image will not be in the main altar
where there will be the devotion items.
The image is for mission
If there be no core mission,
this image will not be there
but be in the museum or attic.

The photo image of this image
has found its way
to where there is mission.
The Living Life Series.

Those who are mission orientated
can keep a picture of this image
at their homes or offices.
But remember to do mission.

Be reminded that we are
not in any new religion.
We have to be better
in what we already are
in the religion we are in.

We have to adore all saints
at least bear in mind the trinity
of God, the saint of your religion
and the lord saint Lord Bo Tien.

In a Chinese temple
like Bo Tien Temple at Singapore
The lord saint Lord Bo Tien with
Buddha  and Goddess of Mercy Kuanyin
the three effect the divine trinity.
Goddess of Mercy is the principal saint.
That is why it is strong in charity.
Bo Tien Temple is dedicated to Kuanyin
The saint or prophet in your religion
is still your guiding saint
even if you adore Lord Bo Tien.
How you view God matters little
but depends on your faith and culture
Lord Bo Tien is there to make you
better and more correct in your faith.
If you can, you should adore all saints
and learn from all as well
to make you even more better
in the religion you are already in.
You must be the living example
of how the mission will help all
to be better than what they are
and in the religion or culture they are in.

Bear in mind
that all religions are good
all saints are good.
Saints do not try to outdo one another
They add value to one another

We must adore all heavenly saints
and their glory is in the thought of men
We seek for their protection and guidance
so as to live better for the time to come.

The saint of the religion we are in
unlike men will not mind
He is a saint after all.
How can he be possessive
or even jealous.

Saint is saint and man is man.
God is no man and man is no God
Saint too is no man
Man has to be saint one day
Till then man is no saint
and do need to associate with saints.

Ji Gong is one of the saints
we should get to know better.
He too is with all religions
yet belong to none...
