The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What is religion? Call it plain logic if you like

No 1031 of Living Life Series 1

In our worldly life we are ever so impatient. We want to score points. We want our way. We often care not what becomes of others even though we say we do care. What we want is to succeed. We want to do so this instant if we can. We know this cannot be.

So our bosses give us big names for our jobs to give sense of having arrived. But who do we kid? We feel let down and we feel cheated. What can we do? This is life.

Then comes some bright sparks in a pastor of a house of God. He bids us to join him. Just belief and the best in life is yours. Heaven is delivered this instant. What a relief this is? There is no need to wait. There is instant gratification. This is it.

Downgrade your house to upgrade the lord's. Be rich in goodness to God and you will be rich in goodness to self. That is the way the pastor wants in you.

Well, go along but you will not for long when it dawns upon you whether this is for real. Men may be smart but is not so when he becomes child-like to God and stops thinking.

To be child-like and humble is good but he has to be awake and not live in dreams. There is no instant gratification. Mere faith and belief in God will not be enough, but perhaps only the starting point.

Do remember this. What is good need not be good and what is bad need not be bad. Don't let others think for you. Think for yourself or you will end up led by the nose.

Have no rush in life or religion. Don't go for it by hook or by crook. It cannot be that way. We have to cultivate what we want a bit at a time, step by step and drop by drop. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean.

Balance between the odds between hopelessness and being too hopeful. Be down to earth. Relish what you have. Count your blessings and make do. Some progress is good enough.

Don't go for the sky overnight or the sky will drop down on you. When this happens in spiritual, you will realize that it is not God you are worshiping but the man who talks to you about God or your own ego you are worshiping.

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨says we have whatever peace we can even before we arrive. That way comes if we can consciously balance between what we want and what we can have for now as depicted in his image with feet on elements.

This is the logic in life and in religion. We call this Tao  or Way. But don't be carried away to think you are immortal just because you embark on Tao . It is just common sense and call it plain logic if you like.

To think of it, religion is just common sense but if it is so why go to a temple? If religion is logic, is there the need to go to a temple? Well, there still will be the need but do it in balanced way. Don't avoid totally. No man is an island. We need fellowship. But don't over do as well. Don't go overboard. This is Tao .
