THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Going bonkers over God and saints

No 1093 of Living Life Series 1

If we have our heads on our shoulders, we would go for heavenly ones like Jesus, Buddha and the lot. This is only right so long as our heads are on our shoulders.

In fact, there are many heavenly ones both known and unknown. They do not need to be known or to have human recognition. They are in a class of their own. They do not need for men to classify them as high class or divine. They do not need men to make saints out of them.

Many people have spared no effort to show their adoration of the saints. This is good and yet can be not so. While they have the hearts of saints, some of the following may portray them as though they are still human and demanding attention, worship and the lot when they are beyond the need for attention, adoration and all that please those who want to be put on the pedestal.

Do saints need us to put them on the pedestal or altar? The answer is that men want to but God and saints do not or would rather not though they may not be against this if men wish to do so.

While men want to make them out to be what they think they should be, this would do no justice to them. Anyway, they are beyond all these. They God and saints do not need praises as they are saintly, divine and beyond the trappings of the ego. They are not men or at least beyond men.

Thus the odd part is that some of the very ones who reach out to society and the world purportedly to share with all the saints they adore, end up doing injustice to their saints.

They sort of end up making mortals out of immortals - or to put it more correctly and in plain terms, fallible men out of heavenly saints.

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 is clear about what we should not do. Man is man. God is God. Saint is saint. See not the man in saint or God. See not also the God or saint in man.

Well despite the efforts of saints like the good lord, some still want their way. Men seem to relish in deciding what God and saints should behave.

Men make men out of God and saints all because they adore them too much and see not the Word or Doctrine they God and saints stand for. Men see the men in God and saints. This is due to adoration and that is the problem

Adoration is only a means and not the end. The end is to know and live in the Word. The Word is God and saints. Know the Word and know God and saints.

Know not the Word and all hell may break lose if men idolize God and saints not through idol worshiping but through idolizing them. They end up fawning on them like they are their heroes.

But this will not be the case if they go for the Word God and saints stand for. Don't go crazy over God and saints. It is equally bad to go crazy over the Word and idolizing the Word without effecting the Word in life. Don't go bonkers over God and saints. A thousand or even a lorry load of incense sticks will not do.

If we go for the Word, believe in the Word and live by the Word, we will be good not only for ourselves but for others. We will show the oneness of goodness in all religions. We will be better in the religion we are in. This is the mission that in 1969, the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 set out for.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
