The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

No pain No gain is for real, if not what is?

No 720 of Living Life Series 1

No pain no gain. No gloom, no bloom. In times of pain and gloom, people gather together for fellowship. They sing, jump and pray. They work up their emotions and endorphin level rises to create that sense of euphoria which intoxicates them with peace and joy they see as the presence of God and saints. Then even if the problems are yet to be solved, the people in the congregation feel well and very much at peace.

This is perhaps akin to what others get a high by resorting to drinks and clubbing. But thank goodness, they never thank God for their high and feeling of relief often rather transient. They may create more problems than solve problems.

This calls to mind the mention by Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) that there are three ways to get out of gloom and pain.
Among the people in the congregation of a house of God, there will be those with resources and skills to offer. They can help to solve problems.

At the same time, they can pray to God and saints for blessings. Do ask God and saints to open the way and make things easier. As Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) says, "Big issues will be small issues even if they cannot be no issues. Small issues will be no issues."

The people too can help one another. This is a good way out. They effectively bless one another.

Above all, people should adopt the frame of mind where they are adamant to keep the peace of mind come what may. This can be achieved by cultivation of the Way or Tao by being atop and balancing the ups and downs, the yin and yang as depicted by the feet of the good lord Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) staying atop and balancing the two.

But not many can do this well enough and the three ways mentioned earlier must be deployed. One way is to come together and to pray as one, praying earnestly with rapture, dance and jumping for joy.

All these will work up and cause a rise in endorphin and even if who they refer to as God and saints are just their own creation, there will be inner peace too from the rise in endorphin. So when there is gloom or pain, people will by getting together and having fellowship create the inner peace and resultant joy that they badly need.

The gain from fellowship that follows pain and gloom is there but is this solely due to endorphin? Is this due to faith in God and saints? Is this the work of God and saints? Yes it is as it is because of faith that people gather to jump, sing and dance.

That is why, people who resort to non religious ways like going for a night out hanging in the pub or disco too will have their release of endorphin. But then the long term solution is to have constant boost of endorphin.

People cannot be going for the booze all the time for that will generally be not good unless there is self control.

It would generally not be a long term solution for people to be in a house of God every day - all the time. They cannot and so some resorted to having cell or care groups so that they can gather more frequently to get their regular boost of endorphin.

Some even resort to happy hour after being at house of God. But how long such a trend can be sustained is the big question. Also are they in control or the bottle controls them?

It is not the bottle but the heart that matters. As Ji Gong (济公)  says, "What matters is not what goes through the gut, but what goes through the heart."

The long term solution is to cultivate the mind and to meditate to have more lasting boost of inner peace. People must stay atop the yin and yang by balancing them so that they will not be swept up and down by yin and yang.
But for many it is best to dance, jump and sing away be it in a house of God or otherwise so that there is more of peace within regardless of the ups and downs that abound. That is the way to go for the many.

Be in some way like Ji Gong (济公) and live with glee. But when we will ever be a saint like Ji Gong (济公) is of course the other consideration and a more serious one at that, isn't it? Ji Gong (济公), Ji Gong (济公), do guide us please ....

Well, there is whisper in the air, be it in jest or zest. If you want to be just in heaven and don't think of being saint, just sing, dance and jump in a house of God to have some peace here and now and yet be in heaven hereafter at least for a long while even if not for eternity. There is no need for Tao or Way unless sainthood and divine inner peace is your goal.

But then it is tiresome and drudgery to be in and out of heaven time and again though some insist and promise us that heaven is eternal.
