THE PURPOSE IS TO SAVE SOULS. IT IS WAY BEYOND NORMAL GOOD WORK LIKE CHARITY AND WELFARE ACTIVITIES. NO ONE SHALL BE SAVED BY GOOD WORKS ALONE BUT BY MORE THAN GOOD WORK. THERE IS NEED TO BE IMBUED WITH THE BASIC DOCTRINE COMMON TO AND BEHIND ALL RELIGIONS AND SECTS. LIVE IN DOCTRINE. DOCTRINE IN LIFE IS PARAMOUNT.

The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The journey is the reward

No 565 of Living Life Series 1

"The journey is the reward." is a Tao saying.

Life is the journey. Treasure even the moment.

Even a moment of peace is moment enough.

There is learning in every moment,

either in the moment or sometime after.

Life is like that. Journey is no bane to us

but ever will be a gain in the end.

Round and round we may go

but this will have to stop one day

when we unlearn and learn

from the many turns of the journey.

Just find peace even in the wrong we do

We will and its matter of time.

We will be better off that way

and more moments of peace we will have.

Matters not which religion we choose

or even if none we have for now

For the journey is the reward

and not a pain in the neck or ass for all

but a sweetness for us to taste and behold.

The reward is the journey of life

and that is no understatement for sure.

Pain is joy and joy is pain

but we must find peace in that

if we are men of Tao.

Never be defeated by pain

or be deceived by gain

but be atop the yin yang swirls

if we can and where we can

along the journey of life.

Without life, how to learn

and be better off from the learning.

No pain no gain and no gain if no pain

The journey is the reward for sure.

Calm follows storms like yin and yang

but the man of Tao stays afloat

with guidance and shelter of saints.

Issues big and small will be no issue

Small issues will be no issue

and big ones will be small for sure

if saints have their way for you.

But there is element of fate

which we must accept

as one way for us to learn

to have more peace in the end.

Storms are no sob stories

They will not last forever

A strong wind will stop one day

Calm will return to the fore

and goodness will prevail

These did Lord Bo Tien say

He added that men of Tao

in the journey of life

must handle the mountains, seas,

scotching sun and drought of life.

The reward is in the journey

when deep into the woods of life

men reach the gateway

for more life in Tao.

Digging further aground in life,

men will strike the spring of water

to quench their thirst for peace

amid the toil and unease.

There is reward in the journey

to be able to have peace of the moment

amid obvious lack of peace around;

Peace by handling the yin yang

double polar dragons in life

So that man can be the pearl

to be supported by the double dragons.

For this to be,

journey must ever be

for the journey is the reward

that is and ever will be.

Let all journey on and on

till they be saints and more

in the very journey of life

for the deserving ones in life.

Let men deserve to journey on

for the journey is the reward

as stated in the book of Tao.

Thanks to the good lord

Lord Bo Tien the saint of saints

for bringing awareness to us

of life as a journey yet a reward.

"To all heavenly saints we greatly adore

We believe in your existence

and they glory is in the thought of men.

We seek for thy protection and guidance

so as to live better for the time to come"

May we journey through life better.

The journey is the reward.

Relish every of its moments.

Be at peace for the moment.

That's the way to live life.

Lest you forget

Do not make the mistake of idolizing any man who tells you about the Word. He is in the same boat as you even if religion refers to him as a religious leader. Mere mention of a religious leader is as good as encouraging idolising of that man. Why must there be hierarchy in religion? Hierarchy is conventional but may end up as liability rather than a necessity or asset. There should be no caste or hierarchy system in religion. No one is to be considered above another in religion. A religious leader or follower is a servant to serve you and not a leader to be idolised. Do not put him on the pedestal and make a monster out of him.

MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY

May all be well and happy. May they have peace. May our departed friends and kins be well, happy and have divine peace. The main writer wishes the best for all for those near and far. Our kins may be far when they had passed on to better lives but they are near though far. He remembers and wishes his parents Mr Siow Soo Koh and Mdm Tay Hung Siang, his uncles and aunties like Mr Tay Koon Huay, his cousins like Mr Tay Chong Sim and his friends like Mr Philip Png well and have abundance of life. May they be rich in spirit for without such ancestors, there will be no posterity - no us and no you and me. They have blessed us and we must blessed them in return forever and ever.
