The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Living with God and saints

No 454 of Living Life Series 1

Is there black hole in life that blacks out the light from the present life? Is death due to the black hole in life? What can God and saints do for us to enable us to mitigate the effects of black holes in life?

More importantly, are we able to be in control of life and death and have peace come what may? Why must we be subject to the throes and woes of yin and yang? What has Heaven been doing about this? Why must Heaven allow death and then promise us the sky or did they?

Is God or Heaven at fault for the perfect imperfections that we see around us. Birth is not perfect for some. Life has issues for many. The issues of men are many and plentiful. Lord Bo Tien did say.

Old age, illness and death are certainties for many though some do not even have chance to grow old. Even Gautama Siddhartha could not stomach all these despite being the crown prince. He had to do something and he found the answer under the Bodhi Tree. What did he find?

Jesus too was not spared and he died on the cross so that men can be saved. He suffered more than anyone else and he took it well in his stride so that we could learn from him and be saved. What did he want us to learn?

What lies in common for the prophets and saints that we can pick up, so that we will be enlightened and be on the Way to live with God and Saints?

They underwent the same issues and problems in life as us and they being saints are in better position to address our lives. Life as we know is no bed of roses and even if it is, roses do have thorns and thorns can prick and hurt. Some have problems earlier but some later. Some feel the draw of the black hole early but some later.

Thus what is good fate for some may well be not so good in later life when there is precipitous decline in life as death and old age rear their ugly heads. There is always the equaliser or the law of averages. What is bad fate in terms of poverty or poor opportunities in life may well be a blessing in that there is chance to learn early and be wiser from the learning.

Prince Siddharta chose to learn early by giving up princely life at young age. You can say he had the good spiritual insight or fortune to do so.

Life issues are many and plentiful but some had it much much better than the majority. The ups and downs, the yin and yang are less pronounced for these few but at the end of the day, or rather at the end of life, the decline will be sharp and dramatic.

There will be less time and opportunity to learn. They must learn and adjust fast. They must learn not to be manhandled by yin and yang but to have the peace come what may. They must recoil from the sharp decline in life's good fortune, let alone learn to stay atop and be at peace with the yin and yang.

If there be birth, there must be growth, disease, the pains of life and the eventual death. This is life and the one who stays atop, keeps his head above water, or better still keeps his peace and calm despite the swirls of life of yin and yang, such a person is a saint in the making. He understands the doctrine of life. Life is the living gospel.

Regardless of whether he may or may not worship God and saints, in a way though he is far from God and saint, he is near to God and saints. The far may be near and the near may be far. Why did Lord Bo Tien remind us of this time and again. It is because men are by and large fallible.

Lord Bo Tien did say that the doctrine is in the saint and a saint like him is the doctrine. Do go for Doctrine. His image is the Doctrine. His image depicts his feet balancing the elements of yin and yang. He holds on to the scepter mission of doctrine to save souls and this is common to all religions and sects.
The Word is God and God is the Word. Isn't this the same and true to the word. Though a man may not worship God or saints, as long as he lives in the Word or Doctrine - the balancing of yin and yang, he loves life not only his own but others as well. He is near and dear to God and saints. He is in fact living with God and saints. He is in a way like the image of God or any of heavenly saints like Lord Bo Tien or Amitabha.
Those who openly worship God and saints and patronise a temple or church though seemingly near to God and saints may indeed be far if they not live in the Word. If they do not live in the Word, they are not living with God and saints.

Do live in the Word and live with God and saints. Death and life are just manifestations of yin and yang. Men who live in the Word  are atop the yin and yang. Death and life issues are no longer to be feared as they can fare better. The light of their lives will not be blacked out at the end of life but will grow and glow ever brighter and illuminate the otherwise black hole of life like the light of Amitabha.
