How could Heaven cope and what are the consequences if every wish or fancy is obliged. The answer is that this is not possible or there will be chaos on Earth as in Heaven and beyond.
It is certainly the intention of Heaven to help all but what beings and men want is one aspect and what heaven must do and should do is yet another aspect.
The wisdom of beings and men is way different from that of the wisdom of Heaven. That is the problem.
Thus to answer the prayers of men and beings, often the best way is not to answer but provide lessons for men and being to learn and be wiser from the learning. This is certainly not that Heaven is holding back but that Heaven has to ensure we learn and we gain in the process.
Also what is good for one is bad for another even if both have the same prayer and request. But men in their ignorance perceive that Heaven is far from them and even remote to them. Heaven seems indifferent and unresponsive.
Why are we men often not in tune with Heaven? They think heaven just don't seem to care. But they forget that being what they are, men and beings, they are separated by the global or universal yin and yang that spin men and beings round and round, and often away from Heaven even if Heaven in reality is just beside them.
Heaven is only a prayer away but the answer to prayer by father Heaven is not as expected by men and beings. Why? Well, men and beings must first overcome and sort out the yin and yang turmoil in their minds and in their lives before they can realise that Heaven is in fact beside them and with them. Heaven is just a prayer away.
Lord Bo Tien taught this universal prayer. "To all heavenly saints we greatly adore. We believe in your existence and thy glory is in the thought of men. We seek for thy protection and guidance so as to live better for the time to come."
This is the best prayer. It teaches us that we just want to better ourselves and it is best that we leave to Heaven to decide what best Heaven could do or give to us so that from the divine perspective, we will be better off. We cannot specifically ask for this or that for what we want may not be what is even good for us.
To be in tune with God and saints, we need to have confidence in Heaven and not tell Heaven how to help us but leave to Heaven to help us. That way we will be closer to Heaven and know that Heaven is only a prayer away from us.
Let us pray not just as individuals but as a group as done by the congregation below,
"To all heavenly saints we greatly adore. We believe in your existence and thy glory is in the thought of men. We seek for thy protection and guidance so as to live better for the time to come."
