The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Mission Observance Day - 13th of ninth lunar month

No 306 of Living Life Series 1

This blog post is personal to  inner truth netizen 2 and based on his perception, experiences and personal visits there. The account of the significance of the anniversary day and views should always be viewed as personal to holder. They are not meant to be all inclusive or to be exclusive. Inner Truth Netizen stands to be corrected at all times.

The anniversary of Lord Bo Tien's descent to initiate the Mission of Heaven on Earth is on 13th day of ninth lunar month.

His descent was to help those in difficulties and to save souls and to explain that this is the same purpose of all religions. This purpose can be achieved by all in their respective though differing ways which are not  divisive but complementary.

The same purpose is the underlying inner truth behind all efforts and there is need to reinvigorate the original spirit of the pioneers and founding fathers. Lord Bo Tien said so in his inaugural message before 1974.

Inner truth netizen is of personal opinion that the anniversary is better referred to as Mission Observance Day as the day marks the descent of Lord Bo Tien to initiate the Mission of Heaven on Earth. This view is personal to holder.

The spiritual anniversary of the mission of Heaven facilitated by Lord Bo Tien falls on  the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month. We pray to Him for blessings at midnight to mark the beginning of the anniversary and at 7pm for actual day. By virtue of the great merits of the occasion, may all your wishes come true.

Those with heart to pray to Him in earnest be it on this day or any other day, the lord saint doth know. Those who seek His divinity for blessings, the lord saint will come to him.

Big issues will be small issues even if these cannot be no issue. Smaller issues will be no issue.

Our life like a candle flame if sheltered by the saint will glow and grow and will not flicker in the wind. Do use our life like a candle flame to light up the life of others but do remember that a collection of like minded people like the amassing of flames is better than a solitary flame. This the lord saint tells us since 1975.

The lord saint has told us before that the near may be far and the far may be near. How true can this be as there are many who give service to those in difficulties and are not His followers or devotees. These people are near to Him and for that matter to all God and saints.

He is also well remembered for reminding us that a heavenly saint or divinity is like a flower and cannot be blamed if insects and ants of men chose to come for nectar.

He also said that the Mission of Heaven is not the mission of man but that of GOD and will span out in all directions. He even said figuratively that if need be, it can go to 49 successful institutions or temples. The mission to save souls in difficulties reaches out to all levels and dimensions of existence and not just confined to man. Thus it is not the mission of man but man has a part and plays role in the mission.

Mission Observance Day (or what is better known as the anniversary of Lord Bo Tien's advent more than 43 years ago as in year 2011) is a celebration of life. It is celebration of our gratitude to God and saints.

It is a celebration of how we must appreciate that God and saints through all the religions and sects value every life and soul.  God and saints are committed to make life easier for all amidst the difficulties of yin and yang, of ups and downs so that we could learn to have inner peace despite the endless dualistic twists and turns in life and cycle of rebirths.

The doctrine of the way to do so is in the image and in the pakua, the Tao octagon symbol. We must cultivate the inner peace such that we are able to be on top of the ups and owns of life like depicted in the image of Lord Bo Tien with the feet on top of the elements of life, or like the centre of the pakua not affected by the swirling yin and yang. This concept is presented in one form or other in the various sects and religions.

Lord Bo Tien reminds us that the dogmas and precepts may vary from religion to religion but that is necessary to appeal to different culture and context of society but the underlying doctrine is the same and spells the way to have less issues and problems in life and to find solace and have inner peace in mundane life of ups and downs which will ever remain as the only certainty.

Lord Bo Tien explains that religions and sects are the pillars in the house or temple of God and saints. The whole world is the temple. The sky is the roof of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple or house of God and saints.

Thus any Bo Tien Temple architecture must embody this concept, with a sky dome to enable Heaven to be the roof and four pillars around an octagon shrine hall to signify world religions in the four cardinal directions supporting Heaven in its mission. The pakua shrine hall will represent the world of yin and yang men are in. The temple itself must be a celebration of life, a constant reminder that there is hope and that men can save and be saved. Men can do so through the pillars of religions in the four cardinal directions.
