The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

No need for religion. Need only for kindness

No 990 of Living Life Series 1

The simpler the belief, the more acceptable and popular it is. That goes without saying. Even the Earth God Tu Di Gong 土地公 if he bestows wishes to all who come to him will be more popular. There is even no need to know the scripture. He has no scripture. All who need his help, will receive his help where he can.

By word of mouth, he becomes popular. He is in fact like god to those who benefited from his love and kindness. We too can be like god to others if we are kind.

There is no need for religion. There is no need for scriptures. The only belief is kindness. Tu Di Gong 土地公 is kind. He is willing to help. That is enough. He belongs to no religion. He is not even a heavenly saint.

In a way, he is better than any religion. No need for religion. No need for philosophy. Kindness is all that is needed. Isn't that better than religion?
"Tu Di Gong" by http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Thetruthaboutfgs - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:IMG_0090.JPG. Licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 via Wikimedia Commons - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tu_Di_Gong.jpg#/media/File:Tu_Di_Gong.jpg
Though he is just an Earth bound spirit, he helps all who are in his terrain. He serves rather than be served.

He is no monk or clergy but yet he echoes exactly what the Dalai Lama says, "This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples, no need for contemplated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."

That is why there is the altar of the Earth God at the temple of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 who stresses that all religions have to do with goodness.

All are one in kindness - loving kindness. Kindness is the beginning of all religions. All religions deal with kindness and end with kindness.

But it does not mean there is no kindness without religions. There is indeed no need for religion if there is kindness. There is only need for kindness.

Alas, some men need religions just to be kind. If they are truly kind, is there need for the excuse to be kind? Do we be kind just to please God and heavenly saints? Don't we truly need to be kind to help fellow beings without prejudice, without justification and without qualification?

There is no need for religion of men. There is only need for kindness that is of God in man. God is about kindness. Kindness is of God.

Kindness is the Word or Doctrine. The Word is God. God is the Word. Kindness is God. God is kindness. God resides in those who are kind. Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 echoes that his image is the Word and the Word is the image.

There is God in those who are kind. Tu Ti Gong 土地公 is one of them. God is in him. Are you kind enough to have God in you?
