The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

At least they come and that matters.

No 981 of Living Life Series 1

A teacher will teach all the pupils in his class but he will pay more attention to the weaker and more wayward. The good pupils need less attention. As for what to teach, the teacher will have to be careful not to go the mile with the weaker pupils. He would be happy if the weaker pupils can assimilate the basics. Telling them more than this will only floor them and make them adverse to learning.

Thus in a temple of a lord saint, the saint will be satisfied if the weaker and far from religious will come to the temple and not stay away. It is immaterial if they cannot learn much or show no interest in the Word or in devotion.
So long as they do come, it is good enough. The motivation and the devotion may come much later or even if never. But at least they come and that is what matters.

The majority in society stay away and it is good if more can come to a temple or house of God even if they come for reasons other than core spirituality.

Even if more come, they come only on festive days and they prefer to be with the world out there the rest of the year. To them, a temple is for getting blessings for blessings of the world and not blessings beyond. They want more of the world.

They are oblivious to true spirituality and they think that this is for those who want to be monks and renounce the family and worldly life. To them, it is how to be more sensual and worldly, how to get more of what they crave for, be it money, worldly gains or what we can have in the worldly world.

Well, the lord saint of a temple will grant that. It is like such people are just children. It is better for them to come and play and be happy than not to come at all.

That is why houses of God are like entertainment centers with loud music, dance and shouts of glee. Laugh, sing and jump for all they need, so long as this can uplift their spirit for the moment and so long as they will come again and again. God willing, they will come.

At least, they can leave their problems in back-burner. If they can have moments of glee even with the harsh reality of life out there, that is good enough for them though this is far from enough.

The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that the problems of men are many and plentiful. But if you try to tell most men that the root problem lies with them and their longing for more and more of the world, you will end up driving men away and lost from the house of God.

We want them to come to a temple or house of God. That matters. Even if like insects that come to the flower for nectar as what the good lord said, at least they come.

Even if the lord saint has to give worldly blessings which may make them more worldly and clinging to the world, so be it. At least they come.
The lord saint will do what he can for them to come and feel the need to come week after week and year after year. The spiritual motivation may not be there but the motivation for nectar of worldly gains will grow. That may seem odd but at least they come. One day, they will see the need to go beyond the worldly world and be wiser from the learning.

At least, they come. That matters isn't it? At least they come even if for far from spiritual reason.

If that is not enough, let them be at the helm of a temple. If that pleases and motivates them even for no or less spiritual reason, so be it if they attract more of their kind to come.

Others will see them as religious and that will make them somehow try to live up to this. That would be simply awesome isn't it?
