No 1087 of Living Life Series 1
Of what use is it to shout aloud that one is right and others wrong when even if one is right and others truly wrong, one cannot convince others, more so when these others are in the majority and far outnumber him .
Well, in any case, these others may well be right at another level but not right at a higher level. The one who thinks he is right and others wrong too is only right at his level and the fact that he thinks others are wrong is actually indicative of the reality he needs to know more and go even higher up in insight.
If one thinks that one religion is better than another, then he is wrong but yet not exactly so. He is right in his own perspective.
God and heavenly saints know Heaven must cater to the needs of the many and to the same people in differing ways at different times and context. That is why the same need for oneness in God and saints is put forward to the world in so many different ways - in the various religions, their sects, schools and houses of worship.
This is the Four Pillar Message of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 on the oneness in God and in basic truth of religions in the four corners of the world. Religions are the pillars of goodness in God.
But alas the pursuit of goodness may result in men being not so good to one another. That way they may disappoint God and heavenly saints.
But unlike men, God and saints are beyond disappointment. They are loving and love us even when we are still way off the mark. They give us rope to have free will and to think for ourselves and ever willing to come to our aid when we need them.
We may think why don't God get us right from day one. But many of us would not understand let alone grasp the truth of life. It is never the intention of God to make puppets out of men.
Then there won't be insight. Then we cannot be more like God to be one with God. God and saints are always there for us. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says that so long as we have the heart and call upon them, they would be with us and for us. They will respond and be there for us.
Issues if small will be no issues with their guidance and shelter. Big issues even if they cannot be no issues will at least be small issues. He adds however that there is element of fate and we should face this reality.
Adding further to this, the living saint Ji Gong 济公 answered when asked why a saint cannot help all, that there is the deciding factor of affinity. In Buddhist language, it is whether we have the good karma or fortune to have heavenly saints coming our way.
This opens up another dimension. We reap what we sow. If we sow on infertile or barren ground, then the harvest will be poor or even none at all. This is the parable given to us by Lord Jesus.
Our life is the ground upon which we can sow. What life or ground we have is our harvest from past lives. Yes, what ground we have to sow for our harvest depends on what life we are born into in this life as result of past lives.
We may have better ground in this life but less in next. But regardless of worldly fruits and gains, what matters is spiritual. The gift of truth is the best of gifts. The Buddha said so.
No matter what life we may have well endowed or less, what matters is that we are at peace with life. This refers to inner peace - the outcome not of material endowment but insight on nature of life.
If we know that life is never perfect, we will not want more and that way, we will suffer less.
At the same time, we will not go for nothing in this world for that will be denial and not treasuring this life as a gift of Heaven and as fruit of our past lives. To be alive again is a blessing. Denying or rejecting life outright is not right.
There must be that balance of contrasting needs what the sages of old refer to as Tao 道 - the balancing and being atop the yin and yang. This is as depicted by the image of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 with feet astride and atop the elements.
