No 1084 of Living Life Series 1
Don't say we are better than others. There will always be something good to learn from others. We learn from the strengths and weaknesses of others. This the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 reminds us.
We must not have the big ego that makes us think that is it and we are lots better. We may be truly better than others. But, there is in others a characteristic or two we can pick up and integrate into the way we think and live.
Religions too are like that. A religion may be well grounded in many aspects of spirituality but surely it can be better if the people in that religion can learn a thing or two from another. That way they can be better than what they are.
Religion can learn too from the strong points and weak points of other religions. Religion after all is by men for men in the name of God and saints or what have you.
Never ever say we are good enough. We may be better and think that other religions better learn from our religion or the followers better join our religion. That is the first step to going downhill.
That will spell the beginning of backsliding of the people involved. They will be big in ego but not big in spirituality and oneness with Heaven.
Heaven is to be one with God. Confucius says this, didn't he?
God is one with all and never go for the select few. All are near and dear to God and heavenly saints even if they are far. This was echoed by the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨.
God is open to all and open to learning from all beings on how best He could up their lives and spirituality. He will never impose and is never critical of others. He is open and receptive. He is even consensual at times.
We too should be at least wee bit like that. Then there will be more oneness of men. There will be more tolerance and love for others who think differently from us.
Well, well, we have some way, perhaps a long way to go. Showmanship is always there and has its ugly side. It makes others envy or feel down. It plays up our ego when we try to be up above others.
Envy is never good. Rejoicing and blessing others for their goodness and better fortune or nature is the way to go.
No matter how good we are spiritually or otherwise, there will always be many things we can pick up from others to improve our life.
We can and we should, can't we? We can learn from others even though we think we know more. This requires us to be humble and to be open and receptive.
The humble will be exalted and the exalted humbled. Jesus said that didn't he? Whether we are Christians or not, we can certainly learn from him. We have plenty to learn and gain from his wisdom.
Indeed we must believe in and learn from all religions and all heavenly saints. This is the way to go. The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 says this is what all should do.
