No 1106 of Living Life Series 1
Christmas is the celebration of life in Christ. Jesus against all odds spoke out on what is good for men. He spoke out on the popular practices and beliefs of the day. He had to face the odds of the clergy at the synagogues during his time and the Roman warlords. His efforts paid off and even the Roman empire later became the vehicle to spread his teachings and love for all men.
Thus Christmas is for all men to rise out of the clutches of control and bigotry. Everyone has his or her reason to celebrate Christmas - never mind the reason may not even be religious.
Whatever the reason, it has to do with love and there cannot be a prescribed way to love life - no one size fits all. Every man finds a way to celebrate Christmas though Jesus may be far from his mind.
Perhaps this is not what Jesus prefers but perhaps this is still good for men. No other man of history could do what Jesus did. History has shown that he has managed to reach out to all and create love and some sense of spirituality even in those who are far from being so.
People of all religions and even those with none have even come to accept and even relish the Christmas spirit come December. The far may be near. Isn't this true?
The good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 teaches us to respect God and all saints. He said that the far may be near and the near far.
Let us all celebrate Christmas regardless of our professed religions. Religions after all should unite men with love. Christmas unites the world with love - the spirit of giving through Santa.
Santa is in everyone. Santa makes it a point to deliver gifts even if the doors are shut on him. He even goes down the chimney. Santa embodies the spirit of love of Jesus. He gives his love even if the doors are shut on him. Even a chimney of soot and heat will not stop him.
God and saints love all even if many shut the doors on them. Can we shut the doors on love? Will God and saints choose and pick who to love and who not to love? Will non-believers be denied?
Goddess of Mercy hears the cries of all and tries to respond. She never choose and pick. She extends her love to all. You don't even have to be a Buddhist or to belong to a religion. If she can, she would grow a thousand hands to reach out to souls.
Scriptures say that indeed she did so. She would keep her doors open. Can we for any reason shut our doors on her love just because of religious bias? That would be unthinkable. Her love is for all regardless of religious persuasions or even if none.
