The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Inner peace through the doctrine in the image

No 1419 of Living Life Series 1

Let us admit it. We go to a temple for our own good - to seek blessings for ourselves. Who would want to go to a temple to help bless others. We may say so to show how noble we are. But somehow there is the overriding personal gain we want. That is telling, isn't it?

Next interesting point is that we go to a temple to find those of our own kind - to be like a dog looking to find a pack to belong to and to find our hierarchy or ranking within the pack.

If others don't fit in, too bad he has to be aloof and will likely leave the place, either to disown the place of the pack or be disowned by the wolf pack.

How many can honestly claim he goes to a temple to be one with God and saints - to be in the holy or divine circle.

Whilst it is true that with dogs and animals what counts is to swear allegiance to the pack leader. We simply just follow and not ask the reason why for fear of ruffling the mane of the wolf pack leader. However, this does not hold true in the long term for people who go to a temple unless people go to a temple not for God or saint.

If they are there to be with God or saint, it is not necessary at all to belong to a pack of men.

But that is what goes on and people look up to the wolf or dog member of a pack of men as though without the leader's nod, they cannot be with God and saint. The licence to do so seems to be in the hands of the pack leader.

Do not behave like a pack of dogs or wolves in a temple; otherwise, the pack leader becomes the stand-in God or saint.

We will end up worshipping man instead of God or saint. No wonder God and saints like Bo Tien 武 天 say that we should not even hero worship God, let alone any man. We should know the Word, for God is the Word and the Word is God.

Bo Tien 武 天 says that the Word is in him and he is the Word. His image is the Teaching and the Teaching is in His image.

There are various colors of his armour just like there are many religions and sects.

What matters is to find out what is covered by the armour. It is the Doctrine - the body of the saint. How do we apply this Doctrine? We do so by seeing for ourselves how this body of truth can be effected.

We do so by balancing the differing views and approaches as depicted by the feet of the image of the saint stepping on the elements. We use the body of the truth present in all religions to balance life and the religions to achieve peace.

This body of truth is inside all religions. Thus it is the Inner Truth. We can get inner peace through the doctrine in the image.

The doctrine is in all religions and is the core of the teachings of all religions though religions do defer in the elaborate teachings and traditions. There is the Inner Truth in and common to all religions.

Religions are different because of the elaborated teachings and traditions. Religions come in different hues and color and are attractive like the armour Bo Tien 武 天 is depicted wearing in his image. The Inner Truth (the body) is common to all religions.
