The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

For men to be better in the religion they are in

No 1413 of Living Life Series 1

Is there the need for God or saint to please men to win the favour of men? Is there too the need for men to please God to win the favour of God?

If God or saint is who he is, there is no need for God to please men so that they will regard him as God. God is God. God does not need to favour men. God does what is for the good of men. If doing nothing and making men learn the hard way is best for men, this God will do. (Anyway men have to faces the music of what he did in the past and how can God take over the consequences created by men themselves.)

God too will not need favour from men to make him feel he is God. God knows what he is doing. God does not need men to reassure him that he is God. If God needs men to reassure him that he is God, then he is no God.

But men who lead the flock may err. Such leaders often need to feel the pulse and may want to be popular with the flock. That is when big problem may arise.

They may end up even doing what is not so right to win the hearts of the flock. Instead of guiding the flock, such leaders end up being guided by the flock.

As regards those in the flock, they may end up idolising the leaders when they are not even supposed to idolise God or saint. Men are supposed to live up to the Word or Doctrine God stands for. That is what is meant about not idolising God.

Those in the flock may lack understanding of what is the doctrine so as to enable them to be on the road to be pure and have increasingly more peace and be in progressively more attuned to the peace of God. When the flock is ignorant and choose the wrong path, they can do the unthinkable. They may end up seeing the God in the leaders. They see God in men and they handled God as though he is man.

Bo Tien 武 天 says that man is man and God is God. This holds true in any religion and religious system.

If such deficiency occurs in a religion though not common, it may be better for those who have some insight of what is right to stay away and be far from the religious institution.

Bo Tien 武 天 says that it is better to be far and the far may well be near. The near who frequent the religious institution may well be far from God or saint and the truth or doctrine God or saint stands for.

The mission of Bo Tien 武 天 is to resurface the doctrine or Word that God or saint stands for in any religion. This is so that humanity can be better in whatever the religion they are in. They must be better at what they already are.

Freedom of choice can be a great problem. Men may end up defiling a religion. The authority that be must step in to curtail excesses that may result in conflicts within religion and between religions. That is why Bo Tien 武 天 reminds that we must obey the law of the land and not let men to pit religion against religion and religion against the land.

If men understand better the truth behind religion, they will be better in the religion they are in. This is what Bo Tien 武 天 sets out to achieve. He is starting no new religion or favoring any.

He uses the springboard of what the many regards as Taoism which does not draw the line and accommodates all beliefs. In a way Taoism is not a religion but a culture. Even in the great mix of beliefs and traditions there is still the same truth - the same Word or doctrine as in all cultures and belief systems.

The divine goal is to help all to be better in the religion they are in. This Bo Tien 武 天 refers to as the Mission. There is the need to nurture men to be better at what they are, be it in religion or otherwise.

Whatever principle or value that is good for spiritual if applied to the mundane world is good for the mundane life of man. This Bo Tien 武 天 too wants us to know and realise.

Additionally and without exception, men must strike a dynamic balance between mundane and spiritual life with mundane life favorable to spiritual pursuit. This is yin yang balance Bo Tien 武 天 would like us to know as well.

Well, well, indeed Bo Tien 武 天 has gone all the way to equip men with the basic truth behind life and religions so as to be better in the religion they are in and to put it in a clearer perspective to be better at what they are.

Religion is only a means to this end and not the end in itself. We can make use of one or more means to better reach the end. We can learn from all religions to have more perspectives of the Doctrine that is common to all - the Inner Truth.

The Inner Truth is the same in all religions but the traditions and downstream additions are different. Let not the traditions and downstream teachings and additions deter us from seeing the common space - the basic core values which is the Inner Truth.

With time, the initial teachings flow downstream and become no longer clear and sparking. Bo Tien 武 天 reminds us that as water in a stream flows downstream, it has additions to it and is no longer the same spring water at the upper source. We must go to the upper source spring water of any religion. We must go to the inner truth.
