The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

The two levels of spirituality in religion

No 1034 of Living Life Series 1

There is one certainty we know of religion and that is it is for the good of men. But men being men will argue till kingdom come of what is good for men.

Some prefer to have better life while alive. Some prefer to think that heaven is assured if we believe. Some think that believing is not enough and that even going to heaven in the afterlife is being short sighted.

Going to heaven is a big deal to others but not to some. To some, going to heaven is just a sojourn. If you like to put it, it is just a resting place - a respite of sorts before we go on for the next rebirth.

Rebirth itself is an enigma. Many welcome this as a way to live on beyond death. But there again, don't they die again?

But to many heaven is permanent, so also is hell. They say there is eternal heaven and hell. How can this be so? The short life of man cannot be used as yardstick to decide on eternity in afterlife - be this heaven or hell.

There are two approaches in popular religion. One is for the masses. Just believe, do good and be good. You will be in heaven in afterlife. The other is for the few who wants to go further. How do they stop rebirths be it in heaven, hell, here or anywhere?

Which do you belong to? Which is more acceptable and which is the easy way out? Why go for the difficult way? Why go for only respite? There are many questions. The choice is yours.

But what has the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 to tell us. He says that all religions are good. He is not starting any new religion or sect. He wants to show that the same teachings are present in all religions. There is no need for him to start one or to favor any.
In any religion, many will just go for believe, be good and be in heaven. Some go for exit from rebirths, be it in heaven, earth, hell or whatever.

Then why did he start a Chinese temple? He said that he wanted to show that there is in a traditional temple, seemingly ritualistic and superstitious the very same teachings and approaches.

All religions are one and that is it. All religions have the same two levels of spirituality. This is the message of the good lord.
