The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Go for observance of joy, peace and blessings

No 1025 of Living Life Series 1

There is always the need to sit back and reflect every now and then on life and decide what to do next. Are we doing too much, not enough or are we on the right track?

To do that we must pause and unwind to see our life as though we are observers. That is what meditation is for.

We quieten the mind and instead of involving the world, we turn to moments of silence and absorption with God and saints. Some refer to this as prayer but many in prayers do enter the mental realm of meditation.

To be more prepped for this, men voluntarily and consciously undergo bodily abstinence of worldly excesses. They stay away from society and either be alone or with cell or care group. They avoid certain foods They can also silence the gap - not talking and gossiping.

With the commitment to purify the body comes the next and more important mental cultivation of purity. Many refer to this as meditation - the calming and silencing of the mind.
Not only do we need to do this on short stints weekly, we should go into retreat or spiritual camps every year or season. The location can be a temple or church. It can be going away outstation or overseas to another town or island and having a camp or retreat at a hotel.

At a temple of Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 there is the annual 49 Day Purity Observance preceding Mission Day on the 13th day of the ninth lunar month. This will tune us to the purity of God and saints like the good lord.
In fact, we can stretch our imagination a bit and say that the fifteen days of the lunar new year celebration is an annual observance especially of Chinese to focus on happiness, blessings and love. Relatives and even friends gather from even afar and meet and greet one another.
Christmas and Ramadan too are similar though different. The focus is on joy, peace and blessings. There is oneness of intent for purity of goodness in life in and across all cultures. This is the reminder that the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 wants to send to all when he descended in 1969.
Let us all in any society or in any part of world or in any religion or culture have annual or seasonal observance. We can refer to this as retreat, camp, celebration but the focus is on one or more of these - joy, peace, blessings, purity and fellowship. Go for observance of joy, peace and blessings.
