The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Salvation is free but you have to work for it

No 925 of Living Life Series 1

Nothing is for free. The so-called free lunch has a hidden attached price to it. Salvation is not for free. Somebody has to pay for it. Someone has to work for it. It is more logical that the individual has to do so.

Religion is not for free, even if door gifts are dangled for entry. Someone has to pay for the cost of religion, more so if religion is man-made.

We do have to work for everything we want in life. If someone tells you that you are assured of a place, the first thing you have to consider is the price. How much do you need to pay for it? Even if it is given to you free, there are hidden costs down the road.

How do you maintain it? You need to invest time and resources. There are indirect costs.

Nothing is for free. Salvation is no exception. Taking the first few steps may be free and the enticement in religion is that you are assured of salvation but there are buts or conditions which make it in a way no longer free.

It sometimes appear that you don't have to do much but just believe. If life is like that, won't that be wonderful.

In a way, sometimes life is like that and we should be thankful. Our parents provide for us physically, emotionally and in all aspects. But this cannot go on forever. We have to be on our own feet one day. We have in time to provide for ourselves and one day provide for family and parents.

Religion is also like that. It is free and you are told you will be accepted. Promise of heaven is there. No price to pay except to believe in this or that. That is all to it. So why wait or hesitate. Take the plunge.

Belief has no cost factor but just believing is not enough. You must commit and work for it. Therein lies the hidden cost.
Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨says that the same basic doctrine of goodness and salvation is there in all religions. The doctrine or Word is there in religion or in life.

It is free and you even have a choice from the many religions and sects. But you have to live in the Word. You have to work it into your life. You have to invest to realize the fruit of the Word. Yes entry may seem free and easy but thereafter, you have yet to arrive. You have to work for it.

Salvation is free but you have to work for it. It is beyond faith and belief. Religion helps. We need guidance and blessings of God to get off our seats and be on the way. We cannot just sit easy and just warm our seats and let God and saints do the rest. We need to be hands on and walk the way.

People of religion are closer to God and salvation. They have the edge. But if they hang on to the easy way and just believe, they lose the edge or advantage.

They are near though far if they are not hands-on. Those who are not in religion but yet able to walk the way are near though far.

The often repeated statement by the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨that the near may be far and the far near has far reaching implications.

Are religions serving their purpose? Are they defeating the primary purpose by trying to be popular and telling the multitude that they need only believe and worship? They think they can leave the rest to God and saints.

That is not how humanity can have salvation. There is no free lunch or perhaps there is? God knows better even if some of us don't.

Well, anyway, there is the real problem of men in religions losing the edge and going astray in the name of religion. We must be thankful to God and saints in sending us the heavenly messenger in Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 to effect the mission to awaken men to the need to work for salvation through their respective religions, sects and temples.
Even in faith, we must walk the way of life to salvation not just on mere belief, not just on mere hope of salvation in afterlife but here and now.

When we have peace of the moment, when we are with life and not deny or run away from life, when we are not carried away by indulgence, be it worldly indulgence or excessive indulgence with religion, we are on track and even have taste of salvation.

Peace of the moment unaffected by the ups and downs, the yin and yang is dear brethren the taste of salvation. We must be atop yin and not at the mercy of yin and yang.

The image of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 reflects the way to inner peace by its feet atop and balancing the elements of yin and yang. This is the way to the instant taste of salvation that will lead us to be enlightened and be saints.

You do not have to worship or believe in him. You can do so in whatever religion or sect you are in. He is starting no new sect or religion. He says that it is better that his message makes you better at your existing religion or sect. Changing religion and being lost and not adjusted to the new adopted religion can be a disadvantage. Be in familiar ground and culture and you can do better.

Yes, you do not have to believe in him. All you need to believe in is the Word. The Word or doctrine is the saint. The image is the Word and the Word is the image.
If you do not believe in and live in the Word, it is meaningless to have his image and believe in him, let alone worship him. If you do not believe in him but live in the Word, you are not only near to salvation but you are close to him and God and all heavenly saints. As they all say, "God is the Word and the Word is God"
