The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Irrelevance may end up relevant to religion.

No 916 of Living Life Series 1

The contributor of the article Religions must not end up irrelevant may have good points to share. But why hype on the increasing irrelevance of religion when life is the religion of man and religions must reflect more closely how men are living?

Worldly and sensual ways that seem irrelevant in modern times will increasingly establish itself as the norms and as useful to religion in the short term.

Religions are man made and not established by God and saints though motivated by God and saints. By using the very ways that seem irrelevant to religion, religion facilitates men to open their eyes to the reality of the life in the world.

This will spur many to realize the need to enable the world within our spirit and mind to be different from the worldly ways of religion in modern times. Irrelevance may thus end up relevant to religion.

On top of that, organised religion must reflect the reality in the world. Men need worldly material and sensual blessings in a house of God and without worldly trappings and incentives in a house of God, the house of God will be emptied of men. The seats will be empty, awaiting to be filled and ghostly. Worldly and sensual ways are needed to bring in the crowd.

Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 did say that insects are attracted to the flower for nectar. Blame not the flower for insects coming to it.
Blame not less religious people from flocking to house of God and saints and running religion in worldly and sensual ways. It is these people who need to be attracted to the house of God and not the 'holier than thou' kind. No doubt, they do may make religion less relevant as religion, but at least they come to worship and try to be religious and good.

At least, they bring in more of those who are otherwise as lost as them. These are the very ones who need religion most. Let them run religion the way that suit them, never mind if what they do may raise eyebrows of critics.

Irrelevance may end up relevant to religion. That is the other side of the coin. A coin has two sides. Ultimately, society need to see both sides. Perhaps, society and not God and saints must decide how religion should be.
