The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Solution ever problematic but not with Tao and saints

No 475 of Living Life Series 1

Do you know and probably we all do know that men are good at solving problems though there are many problems that are best left unsolved. But even for those problems men take pride in finding solutions, there is a catch.

The catch is that the solutions are problem making in themselves. Men create more problems downstream by solving problems. That is characteristically men.

This is perhaps why the lord saint Lord Bo Tien like many saints say that the issues and problems of men are many and plentiful.

Even in a temple of the lord saint where men of all religions come to seek solace, shelter and guidance, the very setting up of the temple to solve the problems of men and to save souls is in itself the magnet for problems.

The lord saint says that a flower may be a beauty but blame not the flower for insects and ants coming to it for nectar. Likewise blame not a temple for those who are far from having heart for doctrine for coming to it for personal agenda other than that of mission to save souls.

If this is so, then the setting up of a temple is the very cause for flowering of more problems by men for men. Those few who know what is right and proper and therefore near to the lord saint of the temple will end up staying clear and be far from the temple. The far may be near and the near far. This is the very nature of life in the world.

A wonderful solution to the woes of men is yet also the very problem in itself to flower more problems. Why is this so?

It is because men are men and even the good few too are not spared from the many issues of men. Every solution has its flip side.

A solution is capable of being the genesis of other problems downstream. There is need to go to the genesis or upper source of a river for clear water. This the lord saint did say.

We do need to know our mind and be mindfully aware of the on-goings in the mind. If there is the apparent good, there is the flip side. If there is the up there is the down. There is the interplay of yin and yang.

We cannot run away from yin and yang for we are yin and yang as well. We need to be with yin and yang and there is no running away from self or the world.

But we need to be atop yin and yang and be at peace by handling them and not let them handle us. Solving a yin problem may cause a yang issue to surface and vice versa.

Thus in the long term we need to balance and be atop both like depicted by the image of Lord Bo Tien feet in seated pose with feet atop the elements.

But we are still learners and may not be adept in doing so. Then, there is a way out. We need to seek shelter of heavenly saints so that the candle flame of our life, our very core spirituality will grow and glow and not flicker in the wind.

That way we will be more restive despite the swirling of yin and yang. We will not be affected by the fact that a solution is in itself the cause of problem. Yes, a solution is yet a problem but not so if we know Tao and have divine shelter of saints like Amitabha.
