The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Oh God, what can the matter be?

No 477 of Living Life Series 1

The lord saint Lord Bo Tien like all all heavenly saints says that the problems of men are many and plentiful. One issue follows another in quick succession. There don't seem to be any end. The end will never seem to be in sight.

Men ask God and saints for assistance and blessings. Often God and saints will oblige but then despite the benevolence of Heaven, men ask why Heaven cannot do better than what they are doing. When rife with problems and often there can be one too many, they ask, "Oh God, what can the matter be? "

Is this correct? Is this right? Well, the root problem in any problem of men may lie in men themselves and how good Heaven can be in meeting the expectations of men is often not the issue.

In many problems of men, men are right in exclaiming their exasperation and despair by saying, "Oh God what can the matter be?" But, this is not proper and men must not blame God and saints who are committed to help but their ability to do so is hampered by the very men they set out to help.

With blessings of saints, Lord Bo Tien said that big issues will end up small issues even if they cannot be no issues. Issues big and small can be handled but often in the very first place, men must understand why there are problems. Men must go to the upper source for the answer. Lord Bo Tien said that men must go to the upper source if they want clear water.

Since problems are the making of men and often personal at that, what Heaven can do is to open the way and even then there is the element of fate. But even with fate, Lord Bo Tien says that if there is the shelter of the saints, the life of men like a candle flame will glow and grow even in the wind.

He also said that even if a strong wind blows a good man away from the good life (or temple), the wind will stop blowing one day and the man can return to good life once more.

Often in any problem, the solution is already there. The solution is often simple but man often has eyes but cannot see, more so if the problem is rooted in or evolved from triviality like the dust in his own eye. Often this will be the case. Man cannot see the dust in his own eyes.

Saints know that and reach out to men to give confidence but men are not looking in the same way as saints but in the other way. They see the worst of things and life seems unmanageable without divine intervention by saints like Ji Gong. It is only natural for saints to help often in the ways men want and not in the ideal sense.

Ji Gong

Ji Gong the Living Buddha helps men by blessing them but often the most important help is to let men see that the solution of most problems is to attend to an otherwise trivial issue.

The solution is often simple but men being men and swept around by yin and yang, the polarities of life or worldly contingencies see not that how often the answer is that simple. Yin and yang come thick and thin. We have gain loss, joy sorrow and the many ups and downs in life

Only after the problem is over, will a man knows that actually the problem could have been overcome by a mere simple solution. Ji Gong is ever patient, kind and empathetic. He will give a listening ear, guide and give confidence. He will still help even if men have unwise round about ways.

He will intervene and where possible make that man realise that the solution to problem is often simple. Often we need only to do the simple and obvious but end up bringing up the problem round the world and even to Heaven to find the solution. That is true, very true indeed.

Man often make a mountain out of a molehill. The problems of men are often related to the polarities of life, the yin and yang and have to do with how they view life. They must know how to handle yin and yang so as to better manage life.

The way to handle is intrinsic to all religions but the sages of old in China refer to this as Tao or Doctrine Way.

It is to have peace by being atop and balancing the yin and yang, as depicted by the image of the lord saint Lord Bo Tien with feet on the elements.

Lord Bo Tien

We must not let the elements be on top of us in life. Otherwise we may grumble despite believing in God and saints, "Oh God, what can the matter be? Why can't Heaven be better than that?"

Saints intervene to help and hopefully through events in life, we can learn the nature of life and the interplay of yin and yang impact life. Without understanding of interplay of yin and yang, we may well have difficulty in solving problems as they occur and worse still, we may create new problems while solving problems.

Simplicity is the way in life. This adage is useful for peace in life. Ji Gong led a simple life and was true to Tao from the heart.

Even problems in life start of as simple matters but made often into mammoth proportions by ourselves. Thus we may well think Heaven seem not helpful and not going all the way and we say, "Oh God, what can the matter be? "

What we need is really to go back to basics and to simple matters. The cause of any problem is often a simple matter in the very first place. It may have to do with our own expectations in life. At times, there is also need to make do and have the peace in life. Don't ask for the sky and the sky will not drop on us.  Omitofo.

Amitabha is a saint of saints.
He will never refuse any call for blessings.
The beautiful part is that we don't even need
to worship him or even be Buddhists.

This is for real and no secret.
Just call out his name
