To many men, to identify with a religion is such a big thing and is the first step to salvation. But to the sage or saint that men created a religion in his name, that term religion never arise.
The saint will help all men and beings. He never say that you must belong to a religion before he will help and bless you. Men did and not him. He is not as short sighted and petty as many men.
That is why they need his guidance but instead they end up wanting to guide others and stating the terms for his help and blessings. He is sincere in helping and let no terms be barrier to his extending the hand of help. That is the difference between man and saint.
Are you saint enough to know that? Most of us don't and this is due to our passion and our faith. Is it wrong to have passion and to have faith?
Certainly not and certainly without passion and without faith will there be religions of the day? At least the religions of men make God and saints more visible, if not more palpable to men. That is a good thing.
We need religions and we need men of religions. Religions may have their queer ways that may seem not agreeable to some. But that is exactly why they attract attention and bring many to their fold.
But alas let not the difference make them distinctive and divide men. The distinctiveness is there for good reason. This serves to attract attention and make men think. Yes, men must think and will think. You cannot tell men not to.
The religions of men have done wonders. They give men choices and make them think, never mind if men still cannot think straight like a saint.
Amid the differences of man-made religions, there is oneness of God and goodness in religions. This is the message of the inner truth behind religions that the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 is driving at.
Frankly, do we need a heavenly saint to tell us so? Logically, there should be no need. But many of us are not logical where passion and love are concerned as we are often blind in love, be it for another person or for a heavenly saint.
Men do odd things in the name of love and even in the name of a heavenly saint. There is no stopping a man when he is passionate. He will even promise and take down the moon if he can. He may even hate and hurt others in the name of love.
Men are men and they are no saints. But the whole trouble is that they make men out of saints. That is not good. Of course, many saints are men but they are special as they are more than men. They are saints. Do know that saints are men but more than men.
