The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Be mindful of life and self

No 977 of Living Life Series 1



What is the fuss over God when man knows not himself and yet want to know God? 

He cannot even know himself well both his strengths and weaknesses. Man must know himself and be mindful of life as man before he can be mindful of others. 

He must love himself correctly before he can love others. He must bring out the goodness in him before he can know God and saints. 

Know self and know the world. Know not self and we will be lost in the world. Know the world in us and that must come first. 

If we cannot even get the world in us straightened out, how to try to straighten out the world. This they say is mindfulness. 
Religion helps man to be more mindful of life but yet man can get lost in the religions of the day. That ironically is happening and a real problem and not a joke. 

We need to be mindful. Know self. Know life. Life is the living gospel. This is the teachings of God and saints. Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 reminds us as well. Be mindful of life and self. 
Know self. Change self for the better. Of what use is trying to change the world or others before we can change ourselves. Let the God in us manifest and shine out like a candle light for others before we can bring out the light in others. 

He who knows himself knows the world. He who knows self correctly knows the truth or doctrine of life - the Word. He who knows the Word, knows God and saints. The Word is God and saints. The image is the Word. The Word is in the image. 
Know self to know life. Life is the Word. The Word is in life. Know self to know the Word. The Word is in life and in self. It seems easy to know self but it is not so. We need effort. We need mindfulness. Mindfulness starts with self. 

The image of the good lord reflects us and how to be what the image stands for. How good and pure we can be. How steady can we be and be atop the pulls and push of life like the feet of the lord saint atop the yin and yang. There is the pull and push of yin and yang in us. We must not be lost and disarrayed by the pull and push in life. 

How can we be steady and be atop yin and yang not only in us but in the world we are in. Of course, we must first be able to do so in the world in us. We must hold on to the Doctrine as represented by the scepter in the right hand of the lord. We must be steadfast and earnest in wanting to cut through life as depicted by the left hand in salutation. 

We must be whole by being mindful of life and self. That way we can master our self - our body and mind. This has to be before we go beyond. How are we to be asset to others when we are no asset enough to self and more a liability to self? 

When in spirituality we cannot stand on our feet let alone walk and run, surely we may fall. That is of course what happened to some self-anointed spiritual men, pastors and priests. They end up falling and their flock fell with them - sort of the blind leading the blind. 

They did think highly of themselves and went too fast and too far. They did not see themselves for what they are and should not be. They were blind. They stumbled and fell. They got lost. They must get up on their feet and find themselves all over again.
