No 988 of Living Life Series 1
In fact, it is and life is full of games and part of overall and complex games more elaborate and grand than the computer games. Read on and find out more.
Why are we playing out different lives? Is life a computer game of sorts and the universe the basis of game for the game masters up there? Who are we playing games for? Are we sent here to achieve certain goals and if we succeed we go to the next stage that is the next life. We then enter the next level and the game masters up there decide the terrain we will be in?
All these sound interesting. Indeed, we appear to be here each with a different role in life; yet there is that overall regional terrain as well as the overall global terrain both of which will affect us as group and as individuals. Our forefathers call this fate. There is the common global fate like the weather and planetary influences. Then there is the local fate like the famines, floods and wars.
Who up there is playing God and saints? They do not run our lives but they have impact on our lives. They help us to succeed in life. But we still have a leeway and free will. Like it or not, we cannot have unlimited free wheeling in life. There seem to be a certain plan called fate set for us. From time to time, there is a change of that plan or fate.
But there can still be variation and that makes the game of life for the individual interesting. That creates many chances for mistakes. Mistakes sustain the game of life but then the game of life will be wrought with difficulties. Like what the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 say the problems and issues of men are many and plentiful.
When will we arrive and no longer play games of life? We will do so if we can balance and be atop the many ups and downs - the twists and turns which some refer to as yin and yang. That is the strategy that will let us arrive and end the game of all games in life.
Then we do not disappear but we exit and stop playing games in life and with life. The Buddha refer this Enlightenment. It is not non-existence but only that we stop playing the games of life.
Let us play the games of life and play it well. Win or lose is not as important as learning from it and playing it better. We can of course get the help of saints like Ji Gong 济公 in playing out the games of life.
