The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

Dying to live more or live to die for more life

No 993 of Living Life Series 1

What should determine how we face life? Are we dying to live? Do we end up living to die?  This may end up as the burning issue in life.

Many religious people seem to be living to die and be with God and saints. They treasure little of the present and what they have. They join hands in fellowship with others praising the promises of God and saints for the paradise they are destined to have in the after life. They die before they are dead and live in the hope of the promised life. They are reborn to life even in this present life. They are reborn in their sage.

But many too are dying to live as long as they can though they may be old and disabled. They want to go on and on. They don't have enough. They think others can die but they think they will die as yet. Death to them is remote. They cling on to life. they can be those who pay lip service to spirituality and only want to have more of the good life as man. They can also be the religious who think that this is the better life for them. The life hereafter is no guarantee and it is better to harness more spirituality in this life than to wait for next life.

These are the twin ills of dying to live more or living to die for a better life. Both of these we should not have. We should live for life and make sure we arrive in the life of the moment. We must have peace of life for the moment and have best of both worlds - worldly and spiritual.

Obviously we cannot have more of either and must have balance approach. We need to go for enough of the world to meet needs of the body and be comfortable enough to go for needs of the spirit. This is the balance approach. We cannot indulge in either.

This approach is present in the teachings of all religions and saints. We cannot forgo the world and the body of flesh and blood. We cannot live as though we are not of the world and has no body of flesh and blood. The image of Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨 embodies this approach with feet atop and balancing the elements.
What should determine how we face life? Are we dying to live? Do we end up living to die? Just look at the image of the good lord and find the answer for yourself.

It is easy to say there must be that balance but what is the balance point for one is not that for another. Therein lies the problem.

Thus any organized religion or sect cannot prescribe the same one remedy for all. Everyone in any religion must seek God and saint for a prescription that best suit him or her. Religion is a personal concern.

But there will always be many religions and sects to bring the basic need for God and goodness in all of humanity. This is the message of the good lord Lord Bo Tien 武天菩萨on the oneness of religions.

Religions provide the choice. Man must make the choice. Even men of the same religion must make the choice and it is a very personal and individual choice.
