The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨). The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affiliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. Needless to say that all the saints we know are in this temple. Ji Gong Posat too is no exception. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven. We worship God and saints, not man however good that man may be. There should be no hero worshiping or idolizing of man whether he is a charismatic pastor, priest, monk, medium or lay leader. We don't even idol worship the image of any saint but reflect on what the image stands for. - the doctrine in the image. Omitofo 阿弥陀佛!.

What makes saints stand out from men?

No 689 of Living Life Series 1

Many appear right and proper more so in a religious setting but what matters is their hearts. Do they have hearts of god? Do they really love lives? If they do so, is there the need to discount others who are not with them as against them. Saints are not like that. They see not in you whether you believe in them but only see in you whether you need their help and that is why they are saints.

Dua Di Ya Pek (大二爷伯)

We must know why Dua Di Ya Pek (大二爷伯) are saints. It is not in what they are portrayed to look like in their images but in their hearts. It is not just in what they do and how they helped beings in need but it is their hearts. Do men have just a bit of the type of hearts they have for beings? If only men have that wee bit, this world will be a better place to be in.

One was drowned while a man working as a guard of the court of the Manchu Dynasty during the opium era when the courts were coerced by imperialist to enslave men with opium. This would surely spell doom and death for men.

The elder of the two decided not to and got himself drowned and the second followed suit through hanging. This explained why one has white face with tongue sticking out (due to drowning) and the other has dark congested face from drowning.

Many men are not even a pale shade of the duo. Their hearts are no where near the hearts of the duo who were made saints and chose the humble jobs of being guards of one of the courts of hell. They rather be near to where their hearts are - which is those in trouble and in or near hell.

They rather be guards in Hell though appointed saints by God the Jade Emperor. Saints like them would rather be where those who most needed their services and not be far from them. In the case of the duo, it is Hell and be near men who are living like in Hell.

There are of course some saintly like men in this world but they may not be those who appear right and proper. They may not be men at temples or any house of God but they though far are near to God and saints.

Lord Bo Tien (武天菩萨) did say that the far may be near and the near far.
